  1. I love mine. It's small and convenient to move around. Wish it supported different folders for all the files but other than that I have really been enjoying it.
  2. Thanks for the link. I haven't tried them yet but will try a couple tonight and let you know.
  3. Had a 5200 when they were new also. My favorite console of all time. Put all the roms on my Gamestation Pro (I do own all but 2 of the original 69 carts) as well as a lot of homebrew and 8 bit computer conversions. Some of the conversions hang at startup for me but all the other stuff seems to work fine. If you like PacMan you need to check out PacMan Arcade I bought it on cart when it first came out. It is great!
  4. Does anyone know if this will play Colecovision games? Is there a list of all the systems it runs?
  5. I replaced the rom chips with tos 1.04 chips last Friday. I carefully applied a little pressure to the pins that go into the MMU socket and the memory showed up in SYSINFO. It is very touchy and soon quit working afterwards. It appears to need some pressure applied to it to work. The pins on the memory expansion board are very tiny, not sure if they were longer and are broken off or just tiny to start with. I haven't removed the memory expansion all they way as the ground wires are keeping me from doing it. May desolder one to see if I can tell what is going on. It did have a piece of antistatic foam taped to the top of it where the pins go into the mmu connection as you can see in the above picture.
  6. I removed the shielding to get a better picture of the memory expansion and can now see the manufacturer name. Can't find much of anything about them on google. Does anyone have any info about this board?
  7. Yes sir, I received my unit two days ago on 3/01/23. It is working great! Thanks!
  8. I was able to finally run sysinfo on the system and it is only showing 512k available system memory and not showing the expansion memory. Taz still shows as the picture above as if there is 2.5mb available.
  9. I recently purchased an Atari STFM off of ebay that looked to be in excellent condition. I am an ST newbie as I was always a Commodore/Amiga guy back in the day. I have a couple of questions about the hardware if anyone can help. I'll post some pictures to see if anyone recognizes it. Inside it looks to have a memory expansion board, I'm guessing 2mb as Taz reports it has 2.5mb of memory inside (see pic). Does anyone recognize this board? Is that all it is, memory expansion? Also, barely noticeable in the pic is a cut in the case just in front of where the 68000 chip is located along the front edge where the top and bottom of the case comes together. Looks like where maybe a ribbon cable once was I'm guessing? It's about the right size for one. Also, if it is a memory expansion, is there something that must be done to activate it so it can be used? I have tried running Freeze Dried Terminal and it comes up and says it needs 1mb of memory. It continues to load but if I try to enter the settings it says not enough memory and exits. It has TOS 1.0 roms in it so I'm guessing at one time it had newer roms but were switched back when it was put up for auction.
  10. BikerBob, I'm already a user on your board as you are on mine, it's Mtnclimber from ciaamiga.org:6400. I haven't seen the other one yet (Sybarite Organization). I am having some trouble with the other terminal programs. Taz drops characters after just a little bit and Freeze Dried Terminal will run sometimes and others it reports it needs 1 mb of memory. I have 2.5mb in my STFM. I am still on TOS 1.0 tho I believe and need to fix that. ANSITerm is working perfectly. I am not a fan of the interface either tho. Still trying to figure out how to get Connect95. Can it be purchased somewhere? Does anyone know?
  11. I'll be giving you a call very soon if I haven't already Tillek. Thanks again guys!
  12. Thank you so much both DarkLord and Tellek. I really appreciate it. I'm going to get one of the hard drive emulators soon that will make things much easier. I have been on your bbs DarkLord. Looks good. I am mtnclimber there. Also thanks so much for the Atari BBS list. I have been on several with my 130xe/800xl and just starting with the ST.
  13. Can you point me to where I might find disk images of these? I have a gotek I am trying to setup.
