I don't collect much anymore (money is a bit tight and I have most of what I really want). But when I did, it was like reliving my childhood. I was 10 back in 1980, and Atari was THE thing. My family couldn't afford a system, so I played at my friends. Finally having my own system and buying lots of games was like getting the Christmas presents I always wanted over and over. Today, when I am having a crappy day/week, I go up to my Atari nook and let the smile slowly creep over my face while I enjoy some nostalgia.

I am the one who provided the BIN to him to review on his Harmony cart. I was chatting with him on his forum and discovered that he had a Harmony and mentioned that since he gave the original Asteroids an A, he really needed to check out Space Rocks. I figured since he gave Asteroids an A, Space Rocks would get an A+...regardless, I am glad to see his mostly positive review posted.

All of them. Never owned a 2600 as a kid growing up in the 80s (sad story, right?) However, one of my best friends was an only child with a well-to-do Dad, and he owned every popular game that came out. Needless to say, I spent a lot of time at his house. I am living the dream with my 2600 now, though

Based on my anger level, I would have to say Pitfall 2. It is the very last stretch up the ladders to Quickclaw that brings out some very colorful language. I have gotten sooooo close Then when I hear that others have achieved a perfect score on Pitfall 2, it makes me want to kick my dog.

I find myself agreeing with him far more often than disagreeing. It will always boil down to personal preference. One item that irks me is that he gives the Atari 2600 joystick low marks. Come on, "Style" is "C+"? To me the CX-40 with orange trim is a classic and the most beautiful joystick ever made, especially compared to the Epyx 500XJ which he reviews as an "A+" style-wise. If you think he is way off on a game, post a comment on his Review Feedback board explaining why. He almost always responds, and on occasion will re-test a game.

Got the paddles and gave Kaboom a try. They are very good paddles. I would give them a B+ I think for me, I am accustomed to the original paddles. The movement on these requires *slightly* more effort than originals, which gives a subtle feeling of drag because I am not used to the resistance. However, I must admit, during the hectic rounds of Kaboom, you don't notice. The fire button gives a bit of a thump instead of a click. While different, I consider this slightly better feedback from the controller. It boils down to personal preference, and I could understand how someone might prefer these paddles to original. Worth the money, though.

Do like! Definitely harder with a mouse than with a paddle.
