  1. For those who do not frequent the Programming forum, @playsoft has released a WIP of Turret Turmoil: Dreadnought Assault, that playsoft and kiwilove have been working on:
  2. Beautiful game - thank you for sharing it! Just time for the first dreadnought.
  3. I've heard, the grapes (were) sour anyway, plenty of times with many of things. So some dude, knew a dude, who told him there was a bugged version released. The plethora of interviews Howard Scott Warshaw has been a part of without once ever stating or suggesting anything remotely like this concerning Raiders of the Lost Ark is evidence enough for me. If that is not proof enough, I can state that instead of Randy, I received intel from Jambi, who also knows, from Chairry and Globey, that the King of Cartoons has original source code of Raiders of the Lost Ark delivered by Reba the Mail Lady, who confirmed with Miss Yvonne that there was never such a bug. If still in dispute, Cowboy Curtis may show up with the red and blue pills. Take the blue pill if you still want to believe in a bugged version release. Take the red pill, if you know crack is wack, but the story is even wackier.
  4. *UPDATE* Current Release: 3.0b8 Below please find links to download the latest beta release, for Windows, MacOS, and Linux platforms. Windows Installer (EXE) x64 Package (ZIP) ARM64 Package (ZIP) MacOS DMG Image (requires MacOS X 10.15/Catalina or later) Linux x64 Binary (TGZ, requires SDL2)
  5. Last character in the score is appearing as a letter instead of a number. I thought my posted score looked like a "B" at the end, but then thought it could be an "8". However, I just played another round and finished with a score that ended in a "C".
  6. Wilf, where were you when I needed you? LOL.
  7. Every 1000 (?) points, player earns a possible cameo Wilf appearance. Player can press fire button which drops Wilf on the eye of tank, temporary stunning/freezing Terrible Tank in place for a few seconds. 5500+ is my best game so far - very addicting.
  8. You are correct. Though this is really an issue with how the 2600+ console recognizes a one button joystick under 7800 mode, rather than an issue with a specific game. Asteroids Deluxe, when a one button controller is connected, pressing Down on the controller should turn on Shields. Works as expected under original 7800 console hardware, but does not work (Down does nothing) under the 2600+ console. No Difficulty Switch settings are involved. The game is being told a two button controller is connected and behaving as such. Just to be clear, whether it is Bentley Bear's Crystal Quest or Asteroids Deluxe, under the 2600+, a 7800 compatible two button controller along with any respective Difficulty Switch positions, all behave as expected and mirror the original 7800 console behavior. Detailed specifics about Bentley Bear's Crystal Quest are in the spoiler below.
  9. A.R.T.I. and E.X.O. had issues, @Ben from Plaion confirmed have since been fixed with Firmware Beta Update 1.1 and Dumper 01.01.00.09.
  10. Knight Guy and T:ME Salvo work fine as does every other standalone 7800 homebrew, outside of Rikki & Vikki and Attack of the PETSCII Robots, with the latest publicly released experimental firmware and Dumper 01.01.00.02 or newer. Multi-titled/multi-carts do not work. Dumper 01.01.00.09 is required for Retail cartridges Rampage and Double Dragon to work properly. For convenience, here is an updated 7800 testing result list under an NTSC console: Cartridge Status Notes 2048 Good 30th Anniversary Multicart #1 No Good Blank Screen after loading cart. 30th Anniversary Multicart #2 No Good Menu corruption and cannot start a game. 11. The GameDrive is a 7800 Multi/Flash Cart that is used with the 7800. How were you able to play it on the GameDrive without a 7800? What you are seeing is evident under other less accurate (or archaic), emulators such as ProSystem 1.3: The issue is with the emulator, not the game. Destroyer plays perfectly under MiSTer FPGA; A7800, MAME, BupSystem, and JS7800 emulators.
  12. That ROM having any issues trying to run under an NTSC system, is not necessarily because it is F4SC, but due to it being PAL. True, Fatal Run was ultimately discovered to use 128 bytes of 'Superchip' RAM, which added the 'SC' moniker; however, homebrew games, such as Princess Rescue, is plain F4, and runs fine across all my NTSC 7800 systems. As RevEng stated, following best practices, there should not be any issues.
  13. Under Chrome, pulling up the Downloads tab (Shortcut Ctrl-J), also gives an option to download 'potential dangerous' file anyway, when it is initially blocked.
