Speaking of consoles to never see the light, found an entry in EGM Issue 19 from February 1991 about the 16-Bit Atari Panther. Funny how years later a 16 bit console was put inside of a Atari shell

I am the last person that wants to see another US based gaming magazine bite the dust, but after everything that has gone down....I am not sure I can even point my members to the subscription page at RETRO without feeling dirty.

I really hope they reached out to Mike and said, we want to see the prototype that was featured in your Facebook promotional images. We need to see that prototype have a cartridge inserted and hooked up to a TV and shown to work.

More than likely Mike is going to go dormant for a few months, let this all pass over. Then he will come back with a different name for the console, and reach back out to all the sites that ran the VGS and Chameleon fluff pieces. There is no way he can run with the Chameleon at this point, too many negative videos and posts on the web.

After the PC card picture in the translucent Jag case, I will not be supporting anything that has Mikes name attached to it. This is beyond unacceptable. Once my personal subscription to RETRO runs out, I will not be renewing. I have also removed the RETRO magazine subscribe link from the front page of Retromags.com (where it has been for over a year). Mike is also no longer welcome to promote any of his products over at RM. The money earmarked for the Coleco Chameleon, was redistributed to Sinclair ZX Spectrum Vega Plus, which is not crammed into an Atari Lynx shell and has over 1,000 licensed games on board.
