  1. I've always wanted the original cab. I got the 1up version and absolutely love it. Even my daughter plays it.
  2. Neat, I just got TCPser working. I'll check it out.
  3. I have a Framemeister XRGB-Mini with an RGB input (looks like an S-Video) connector. Is it possible to connect my IIgs to this and use a regular HDMI monitor? I have an IIgs monitor but, I'd like to cut down on how many monitors I have per system. Thanks!
  4. I know when I ordered DRAM from Jameco to fix a IIc, several of the chips didn't work. I had diagnostic failures and some of the chips got real hot. Jameco sent out replacements without any hassle. So it may just be that they sent you some bad chips. I don't know if mixing manufactures would pose an issue.
  5. I had a lot of fun making mine. I had to go through some SIMMs to get it right. I ended up using: 30 pin SIMMs 8 or 9 Chips preferably 8 CAS before RAS no faster than 70ns More info on SIMMs here: http://www.techtalkz.com/apple/187768-simm-compatibility-apple-iigs-ram-cards-potential-faq-addition.html
  6. Another option is to build a 4mb upgrade with a 1mb expansion card and simms. http://damntechnology.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
  7. Bought a Dragon from Crazy Climber. It is awesome.
  8. So.. is there a place to get this game? Do enough people have it so it won't get lost forever? Another forum recently talking about the port: http://boardgamegeek.com/thread/943656/new-ultima-1-board-game
  9. I had a Nibble subscription. I'd love to have the back issues and books on DVD, but the price is a bit steep IMO.
  10. Yes! I was just thinking about this today and wondering if it was done yet.
  11. Thanks for the info. I'm going to recap the whole thing. I figure I might as well if I'm going to have the board out.
  12. Note: I've worked with high voltage circuits before. I have a very nice looking 1989? RCA G26231 TN Analog TV. I just know this thing would rock for classic gaming. The only problem is that it has some bad image warping using the composite RCA jack (see below). I took the TV apart and looked it over. It was very dusty but also had some hot candle wax spilled inside it. I cleaned out what I could, but it looks like I'll have to take out the main board for a good cleaning. All the components are thru hole, so that's a plus. If someone could give me their guess to what to look for or what part of the main board circuit is the likely culprit, I would be grateful. It might save me some troubleshooting time. Edit: This is a CTC156/156
  13. If I could find a manual or schematic for the Unidisk 5.25 I could check on that
