Well, they are quite small compared to a lot of other scans on Archive. Archive.org is not concerned with compressing files. Just the opposite. They are trying to preserve things. Not only that but they also take the uploaded documents and convert them into a bunch of different formats. In general, better to have higher resolution scans than low res scans. People can compress files to make them smaller with the loss of dots-per-inch but you can't go the other way without re-scanning the document.

I got a stack of these newsletters that I am starting to scan and upload to Archive.org. Another ten or so to go.

@Guitarman Now that you have started to settle in and assuming you got (and still have) a lot of software with these collections, please consider having one of the guys with disk archiving devices borrow your disks to back them up. And that goes for software packaging and manuals as well.

What's really missing more are utilities with their packaging and public domain software. The Antic and Analog magazine software has been archived and most of the the APX stuff as been as well. A big thing that is needed is organizing this stuff better and having a more easier way to get access to it. For example, a site needs to be created to access and search all the user group disks. Right now they are just partial collections out there in various places.
