  1. A blog post about these cards: https://sumocards.blogspot.com/2016/08/a-short-guide-to-1970s-1980s-japanese.html
  2. Lady Bug was apparently by Mark Thompson at Impact Research. Turbo and Venture are unknown because they don't share code with anything else.
  3. I don't know when Mr. Thompson passed away, but I tried to e-mail him years ago and never got a response. I can no longer see his LinkedIn profile since I'm not logged in, but I recall it said he worked on ColecoVision and Intellivision games at a company called Impact Research. According to New York records, there was a company on Long Island called Impact Research Corp.
  4. It's worth noting that Pavlish programmed Crater Raider and Cyclon, the other prototypes.
  5. I played through one loop. Seems like a finished game to me. Here's my video:
  6. The C64 version of Ice Palace WAS released, but I assume it's very hard to find. The one shot of the front cover on the Internet: https://www.grouvee.com/games/95381-ice-palace/ To summarize: We don't know anything about the VIC-20 version of Ice Palace, but the C64 version was developed by Interplay for Product Guild. The ColecoVision version was being programmed by Anthony Henderson. He programmed three 2600 Xonox games for Product Guild. I believe he was based in Texas. VIC-20 Chuck Norris Superkicks and Robin Hood were programmed by Rebecca Heineman at Boone for Product Guild. 2600 Motocross Racer and Sir Lancelot were programmed by Anthony Henderson for Product Guild. VIC-20 Sir Lancelot was also a Product Guild game. The only through-line of all these (except maybe the Boone pre-production carts) is Product Guild.
  7. Or Interplay, which was started by former Boone employees. We know they developed the C64 version (also unreleased) for Product Guild. The president of Product Guild may have passed away earlier this year.
  8. There was a Xonox contractor called Product Guild Ltd. that seems to have been based in Pennsylvania. They subcontracted at least two Xonox games (Chuck Norris Superkicks and Robin Hood for VIC-20) out to Boone, which was out in California.
  9. Do you mind if I ask what other games you bought? Perhaps those are also games this person worked on.
  10. Apparently, according to John Phillips, Sega was working on TI Galaxian and Battlezone in Japan. Anybody know anything about that? http://fabrice.montupet.pagesperso-orange.fr/ti99carts/vaporware.htm
  11. Looking at the Mattel games, I wonder if there are any conclusions to be drawn by separating the games developed by APh Technological Consulting, which also developed the Exec operating system, and the games developed internally by the Blue Sky Rangers.
  12. This is great. I think your Roklan findings are seem pretty consistent with ours.

However, Armour has said he only worked on the Atari 8-bit version and was not aware that a 7800 version existed.
