  1. I had the same problem with the WIFI. I got it working when I used my flip phone's Bluetooth tethering option.
  2. Well it worked for me. After you boot the VCS up and you choose your network, look in the upper right hand corner and see what symbol is there. If it looks like a key that is the Ethernet and you should be fine, but if it is the WIFI symbol then you may not be be. I updated the driver for the Realtek Ethernet via CCcleaner. The things started working. I do not know how things got screwed up, but it probably happened whil I was using the VCS to run Win10. I am VERY careful about what I do to the network settings while I am running Win10. I told the VCS Support Team about what happened to me and was told there soon will be an update that will fix this problem. Good luck...
  3. I think I may know just why things started working. I use my VCS to load WIN10 and there is a program called CCleaner that I use. It reported that there were 4 devices that needed updating and I updated them. hat this It was soon after that I started the VCS. Could be that this updating, this fixed the problem with the VCS.
  4. Yes I did choose the wireless network first. You are correct about the ethernet cable because it is now working and I cannot understand just what happened. I flashed again and choose the wireless network, but I noticed something different. In the upper right corner I always had a WIFI symbol, but but this time I had an ethernet symbol. I was so happy when everything worked, but I still cannot figure out just what I did to get it working.
  5. I am having trouble also with the VCS updating. Everything was fine until I started getting the "bearer token" error. I re-flashed and that did not work. I could not sign to my account and I could bring the "Store". Everything was blank. I sent an email to the VCS Support and I was soon given an URL address to a newer OS image file. I downloaded and flashed it. Then I had another problem. The VCS came up as usual and I was able to choose the language and the network. That went okay, but when it came to the update scree (light blue background), it would go through motions like it was updating and then reset itself. Then it would do the same thing again and keep on doing it as long as I did kept letting it do it. It would even do it even if I was not connected to the network. I cannot figure out just what happened. The guy from Support was going to turn it over to Engineering. Anyone have any ideas?
  6. Yes, they are good. Actually very good. When you think of computer joysticks, this classic joystick is what most everyone thinks of. Can it be used is all computer games, especially the ones that are coming now, probably not. Still, it is a piece of history and will ALWAYS have a place on my gaming table.
  7. Hello, How many colors are we talking about. I have NeoDesk 4 that I just bought about 1 1/2 years ago and there were no problems for me. I used it along with Geneva on my STe in the 16 color mode. It really depends the icons you use for the desktop. Try using simple graphic icons with hardly any colors and see it that helps, then put the icons back. Of course you may need to upgrade to version 4. Go the Gribnif website and talk to Dan Wilga. He should have an even better answer for you.
  8. Well I have an old Roland MT-32 MIDI module that still works and sounds great. There are newer MIDI modules that are available that maybe you should look at. The last MIDI software that was still being supported for the Atari computer line is Sweet 16. I have it and it functions just fine. Worked great on my Hades060 until the Hades died on me. Other software that functions well is Tiger and Tiger Cub.
  9. Hello, I have used Tiger Cub, Tiger and Sweet 16 with my Atari systems (Hades, Falcon, STe). They seem to do the job nicely. Sweet is the only one of the 3, that I now of, that is still being supported. For hardware, I have an old MT-32 MIDI module from Roland that still works and sounds great.

  12. That is what I figured. I have bought the cable off of Ebay and will be getting it soon. I am already connecting the Falcon to a router, I have installed a PC in the computer room we have that my son will use. The router is already full, so when he is on the Internet, there is nothing for me to use, so in this case I will just use the PC's connection. Besides, it will make a nice demo at our next Atari club meeting. Thanks for your imput.
  13. I can but it is not hard to find. Just remove the power unit and it can easily be seen. Just about 1/2 inch from the cartridge port pin 1 and a little port toward the back the of the computer. Kind of small but visible. It is the only part labeled F2. I will see about a picture though. Superatarian, I got you covered. Here is a pic from my project falcon that I am repairing. F2 is the little green part right near the top of the cart port. Yep, that's it. Thanks alot for doing that. I appreciate it.
  14. Hello once again all. Now that my cartridge port is fixed I was getting back to my original project, getting a Falcon to getting connected to the Internet using a PC. I know the PC in question has to have two network cards, which is the case. I have the hardware from Lynsdon A. that connects throught the Falcon cart port using an ISA network card (NEC2000). I want to use either STing or MagicNet. I started out with Sting and the hardware connects fine when I hook it up straight to the router. When I hook it up to the PC, the PC tells me that there is a connection, but I cannot get the two to talk to each other. The PC card has an Ip addres of 192.168.0.1 and this what I set STing to. The Route.tab file like something like this: 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0.0 192.168.0.1. It does show up when I call it up using the Dialer.prg. Everything is set but nothing goes across the cable. And here is something else. When I set the route.tab file as I said and and try and ping something, I get no blinking of the lights on the Atari hardware network card, but if I change the digits to be: 192.168.1.1, then yellow light blinks as packets are sent during a ping. I am thinking I have a setting that I must change. Also, do I need to get some cross-over cat-5 cable because I do not think I am using that. I have not tried MagicNet as yet, but I think I just may.
