  1. I still have my screen printed, die cut, poly carbonate, Test Cart overlays for sale. They are exact reproductions of the original test cart overlay used in the GCE/MB factory. They are ideal for hobbyists to help ensure they have their Vectrex display adjusted correctly. Use this in conjunction with the Vectrex service manual. They also make good overlays for some of the Vectrex games, e.g. add a gun sight to VecFever Battle Zone and Red Baron. Please don't confuse these with the floppy ink jet printer produced overlays. See my overlay spec here. The pricing is as follows and covers postage and packing: UK - £10.30 EU - £12.75 US/Canada/Australia/Japan - £13.50 In addition to the 100% perfect overlays above I also have some 'b' class Test Cart overlays stil remaining. 'b' class indicate that they are not 100% perfect. The 'b' class overlays have a small blemish or light scratch on the back. These imperfections can be seen when holding up to the light. When the overlay is placed on the Vectrex the imperfection is impossible to see. As 'b' class overlays are not 100% perfect I am selling them at reduced prices: UK - £6.30 EU - £8.75 US & other - £9.50 Hey, at the above prices, get one 'a' class and one 'b' class. The 'a' you can put in your collector's cabinet, and the 'b' can be part of your work bench To purchase please contact sales@vectrex.co.uk or visit my site www.vectrex.co.uk for more info.
  2. well the main rectifier diodes (1N5624) are rated for 3A. I think that it is a 9V AC X 2 @ 2 Amp transformer. I never tried with that transformer so it might not be an exact mechanical fit so may need some modification. Why don't you contact the ebayer to see if they would ship to Russia, seems they deliver everywhere else. Actually I'm sure you would find an equivalent transformer in Russia.
  3. Try https://www.ebay.com/itm/280746981090 The wire colours are different on the new transformer. Connect the blue wire to where the red wire was on the power board, and the black wire where the white wire was on the power board.
  4. Found a small stock of brand new screen printed Karl Quappe overlays for the Vectrex. Price includes postage and packaging and depends on your location. UK - £10.25, Europe - £11.60, US/Canada/Australia/Japan - £12.20. these are the same as the ones as Malban original distributed with his physical release:
  5. Also have a few Karl Quappe remaining and discounted YASI "B" stock. The 'B' stock label given to YASI is to reflect that these overlays are not 100% perfect. They contain a small mark or two (depending on overlay). These marks can only be seen when holding up to the light. When the overlay is on the Vectrex it is impossible to spot. Therefore I am reducing the website advertised cost (see below) by 5.00GBP to reflect the overlays are not 100% perfect. for more send me an email at sales@vectrex.co.uk
  6. Test cart repro overlay: These are reproductions of the original test cart overlay. Use this together with the Vectrex service manual to optimise the Vectrex display. -Two colour overlay (white artwork on transparent blue) -Professionally screen printed on 500 micron polycarbonate -Die cut to shape to fit in the front of the Vectex. The pricing is as follows and covers postage and packing: UK - £10.30 EU - £12.75 US/Canada/Australia/Japan - £12.90 More info at http://vectrex.co.uk/shop.htm Generic Blue overlay: Reduce the glare of the Vectrex white on black graphics and at the same time get that blue-screen retro look. The pricing is as follows and covers postage and packing: UK - £9.10 EU - £10.75 US/Canada/Australia/Japan - £11.70 More info at http://vectrex.co.uk/shop6.htm

  8. For sale: brand new Mine Storm screen printed overlays This is the last batch I will make. Features: Professionally screen printed reproductions Four colour layer overlay Better colour registration then the original overlays White print on the back layer Die cut The overlays are shipped with a protective transportation overlay - see https://youtu.be/W5xRiBEBJXU Please note these overlays are professionally screen printed and die cut. These should not be confused with the floppy home made ink jet produced overlays that can be sometimes found on the internet. You will find it very difficult to tell the difference with this repro from the original Mine Storm overlay. The only give away is the intentional small copyright text on the right edge of the reproduction overlay. This text says "reproduction" on purpose in order to distinguish it from the original. The pricing is as follows: UK - £9 (overlay) + £1.65 (post & packaging) = £10.65 EU - £9 (overlay) + £3.10 (post & packaging) = £12.10 US/Canada - £9 (overlay) + £3.85 (post & packaging) = £12.85 For the same postage amount I can post up to two overlays in the same package. If you would like to purchase a reproduction Mine Storm overlay please email sales@vectrex.co.uk stating quantity required and your country. Also I have some remaining green overlays in stock - please visit http://www.vectrex.co.uk/shop.htm

  11. I am not familiar with Windows 98 but for your USB to serial adapter what do you see when you look in [Control Panel][system][Hardware][Device Manager] and then look under "Ports (COM & LPT)? If the USB to serial adapter is working, you should see it assigned with a COM number. There you can also check the Port Settings properties.
  12. Well the following is the nearest you will get:
  13. It was DarrlyB first, than me. However, doesn't work very well. The spiral structure built into the lens played havoc with the display of the vector graphics. On most of the games there seemed to be some strange prism and line spiralling effects.
  14. Richard, that 3d print of the Vectrex is awesome. I just thought of something that might make it look even better. Have you heard about smoothing 3d parts by placing in an acetone vapour bath? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xj53P2YzYGM#t=33
  15. No mine is bigger But still work in progress.
