  1. Just enabling people to plug in their 8bitdo, Playstation, or Xbox controller and use the analog sticks for those specific games should be more than enough, and easy to accomplish via an update. No reason to get any physical hardware out there or fragment the userbase.
  2. The only ones that come to mind are Glover (Piko 4) Centipede, Crystal Castles, Liberator, Millipede, Missile Command, Night Driver, Pong, Super Breakout, and Warlords (Atari Arcade 1) Just goes to show what an absolutely stupid idea it was to release that Atari Arcade cart in the state they did. Most of those games are completely unplayable.
  3. I'm still hoping they'll eventually enable analog control, at least on a joypad for the VS system. It would solve a lot of problems not only for N64 games but also the still-mostly-unplayable Atari Arcade collection. They could probably squeeze another Duke Nukem collection out if they find a good solution for the controls. The 2 N64 games and the GBC game would be no worse than the PS1/GBA games on Collection 2.
  4. No reaction to Evercade getting its first N64 game with Glover?
  5. Bad Street Brawler (NES) The Fidgetts (GB) Glover (N64) Mermaids of Atlantis: Riddle of the Magic Bubble (NES) Risky Woods (Genesis) Sküljagger: Revolt of the Westicans (SNES) Star X (GBA) Street Racer (SNES) Target: Renegade (NES) Zero Tolerance Underground (Genesis)
  6. He's a failed scammer who for some reason is still allowed to post here.
  7. Where's the part where we find out the emulation on it is awful and then everyone gets mad at people who point that out?
  8. There is literally not a worse way out there right now to play Atari games than on the MyArcade devices. Real hardware, PC emulation, compilations on other platforms, Evercade, etc. Every other way you could pick to play Atari games in 2023 is going to be more accurate, have much better controls, and many of them are much less expensive. The MyArcade handheld literally only plays 2600 games and it can't even run those at full speed. And yes, they are like the Flashbacks.... trash. Atari should care more about its brand and the legacy of its games than to allow them to be represented in the manner the MyArcade games present them. They are poor stewards of the Atari legacy.
  9. The VCS is still broken out of the box three years later, the three MyArcade devices they just released are absolute trash, and the 2600+ is in a sad state. Maybe with several updates the 2600+ can be upgraded to just disappointing. Clearly Atari isn't cut out for hardware anymore. Just focus on stuff like Atari 50 and the Recharged series.
  10. All my saves have always been on the cart and they have always carried over from the OG to the EXP to the VS and now the Super Pocket. The only times I've had save data erased were when carts got updates from the monthly firmware.
  11. They shouldn't be taking products to market that aren't fully baked. If you don't have enough time to get your product to market in a finished state, delay it or hire more people to work on it. Don't sell people a product that doesn't do what you say it does, or does a horrible job of it, and then put the onus on them to fix it themselves.
  12. Are you serious with this? These issues are all things that should have been anticipated before the start, discovered during testing, and fixed before they ever asked for a single consumer dollar. The time to do beta testing is before the product comes out, not after it ships. And the people who fix it should be the ones who are selling it, not the ones who bought it.
  13. You're the one who quoted a weeks-old post in a dead topic to start this nonsense. Basically you quoted me, started an argument, had nothing of value to contribute to said argument, and are now acting like the argument is beneath you.
  14. Is Atari paying you to shill for them or what? Why are you acting like NOT having any standards and offering money to a faceless corporate entity without any consideration makes you better? All we're saying is every other way to possibly play Atari games is better than what Atari is selling in 2023. Atari fans should expect MORE from Atari, not less, than what they can get from other sources for less money or for free on the internet. It isn't "playing games on emulator devices" that we're mad at. It's that Atari is producing AWFUL emulator devices while other companies are producing decent to good ones for less money.
  15. What's sad is the people who don't know any better and buy this stuff thinking this is how Atari games really were. I'd hate for someone's only impression of the 7800 to be what you can experience on a 2600+ or a Gamestation Pro. I'm sure there are people right now who have ONLY experienced Atari through AtGames and MyArcade garbage devices. What an awful steward of the brand modern Atari is.
