  1. I'm still hoping they'll eventually enable analog control, at least on a joypad for the VS system. It would solve a lot of problems not only for N64 games but also the still-mostly-unplayable Atari Arcade collection. They could probably squeeze another Duke Nukem collection out if they find a good solution for the controls. The 2 N64 games and the GBC game would be no worse than the PS1/GBA games on Collection 2.
  2. No reaction to Evercade getting its first N64 game with Glover?
  3. Bad Street Brawler (NES) The Fidgetts (GB) Glover (N64) Mermaids of Atlantis: Riddle of the Magic Bubble (NES) Risky Woods (Genesis) Sküljagger: Revolt of the Westicans (SNES) Star X (GBA) Street Racer (SNES) Target: Renegade (NES) Zero Tolerance Underground (Genesis)
  4. He's a failed scammer who for some reason is still allowed to post here.
  5. Where's the part where we find out the emulation on it is awful and then everyone gets mad at people who point that out?
  6. There is literally not a worse way out there right now to play Atari games than on the MyArcade devices. Real hardware, PC emulation, compilations on other platforms, Evercade, etc. Every other way you could pick to play Atari games in 2023 is going to be more accurate, have much better controls, and many of them are much less expensive. The MyArcade handheld literally only plays 2600 games and it can't even run those at full speed. And yes, they are like the Flashbacks.... trash. Atari should care more about its brand and the legacy of its games than to allow them to be represented in the manner the MyArcade games present them. They are poor stewards of the Atari legacy.
  7. The VCS is still broken out of the box three years later, the three MyArcade devices they just released are absolute trash, and the 2600+ is in a sad state. Maybe with several updates the 2600+ can be upgraded to just disappointing. Clearly Atari isn't cut out for hardware anymore. Just focus on stuff like Atari 50 and the Recharged series.
  8. All my saves have always been on the cart and they have always carried over from the OG to the EXP to the VS and now the Super Pocket. The only times I've had save data erased were when carts got updates from the monthly firmware.
  9. They shouldn't be taking products to market that aren't fully baked. If you don't have enough time to get your product to market in a finished state, delay it or hire more people to work on it. Don't sell people a product that doesn't do what you say it does, or does a horrible job of it, and then put the onus on them to fix it themselves.
  10. Are you serious with this? These issues are all things that should have been anticipated before the start, discovered during testing, and fixed before they ever asked for a single consumer dollar. The time to do beta testing is before the product comes out, not after it ships. And the people who fix it should be the ones who are selling it, not the ones who bought it.
  11. You're the one who quoted a weeks-old post in a dead topic to start this nonsense. Basically you quoted me, started an argument, had nothing of value to contribute to said argument, and are now acting like the argument is beneath you.
  12. Is Atari paying you to shill for them or what? Why are you acting like NOT having any standards and offering money to a faceless corporate entity without any consideration makes you better? All we're saying is every other way to possibly play Atari games is better than what Atari is selling in 2023. Atari fans should expect MORE from Atari, not less, than what they can get from other sources for less money or for free on the internet. It isn't "playing games on emulator devices" that we're mad at. It's that Atari is producing AWFUL emulator devices while other companies are producing decent to good ones for less money.
  13. What's sad is the people who don't know any better and buy this stuff thinking this is how Atari games really were. I'd hate for someone's only impression of the 7800 to be what you can experience on a 2600+ or a Gamestation Pro. I'm sure there are people right now who have ONLY experienced Atari through AtGames and MyArcade garbage devices. What an awful steward of the brand modern Atari is.
  14. I'm not comparing the emulation in those devices to some mythical standard of perfection. I'm comparing them to other contemporary emulation options like free emulators that are available on your phone or PC, compilations like Atari 50 or the Flashback Collections on modern consoles, or the Atari Collections on the Evercade devices which are priced competitively with these trash Atari devices. Compare the 7800 emulation on the 2600+ or the Gamestation Pro to A7800 running on a PC and get back to me. Compare the sound quality of the 5200 emulation on the Gamestation to a real system or a PC emulator and get back to me. Compare the 2600 emulation on the MyArcade handheld to Stella on a PC or the Atari Collections on Evercade and get back to me. The thing can't even run 2600 Missile Command at full speed. It's 2023. There is no excuse for a company calling itself Atari charging money in 2023 for a device that can't emulate Atari games as well as cheaper or free options on other devices. There is literally no worse way to play Atari games in 2023 than by buying these devices. They do a worse job of it than any other device being sold, any software solution being sold for other devices, or a free downloadable emulator on a device you already own.
  15. The 7800 emulation on both the Gamestation Pro and 2600+ is pathetic. Not just in terms of compatibility, because many of the games marked as working actually run like crap. The 5200 emulation on the Gamestation Pro is pathetic. The version of MAME on the Gamestation Pro is older than a Nintendo DS. The 2600 emulation on the MyArcade handheld is pathetic. You would literally have to go out of your way to find worse emulation for free than what Atari is charging people money for in 2023.
