So none of that video footage to go into the game has ever turned up then, just completely gone, what a shame.

A definite shame.

I think Beej or Ken Rose mentioned a code - a sequence of button presses that could be entered in-game - to play all the FMV; but it's not certain which build it was in. (or if the code actually existed... Foggy memories and all that.)

Having not played the game in 20 odd years it was nice to see it again, especially now that I can appreciate the inclusion of the psychoactive mushrooms.

From memory, I'd have to say Highlander and Blue Lightening. I mean I remember Highlander still being hard even using the cheat that gave you a rubber chicken as a weapon.

Don't be silly Chris, makeup is okay. It's the hair you need to watch out for.

1980's Debbie Harry = Fine.

Bon Jovi in leopard skin != Fine.

I think this thread is tied with the Jag vs N64 one for usefulness now at least. Oh how I've missed this place. :-D

My smaller head never gave a damn what their hair looked like or looks like! What MAN cares about a woman's hair? (beyond it being there at all, and even that only requires a double-take then it's forgotten!) Plus, if they had/have hair like that, they were/are easy women, just like tattoes and smoking...it's a near guarantee they are easy women.

My post was supposed to be a joke but yours is, unintentionally, a lot funnier. I'm glad this forum dedicated to an old console released 20 years ago has at least one REAL MANTM. The population is safe, for the time being at least...

I stand by my original point, i.e., it's hard to sleep with a somebody who looks like they might be a member of Mötley Crüe.

Amazing. Women had hair like that in the 80's yet I exist, so at least one person slept with one regardless.

Bon Jovi was the most desirable person on the planet judging by that poster. *shudder*

I suppose a lot of it comes down to the fact that there will always be one person who missed the last run, they could be new to the community or they simply couldn't afford to buy at the time and now can. It's a shame but if you're making and releasing games you're investing time and effort upfront with little profit, and quite probably a lot of hassle, in return. I haven't done this myself so I can only imagine the trauma involved, afterall Jag fans are a tempestuous bunch even when things are going well... :)

Most items can still be acquired for reasonable prices but you do have to be patient, those who want something "NOW" will pay anything which can distort prices for a short while.

BattleSphereTM is a subject that's been debated to death, resurrected and killed again so many times I'd throw every copy into Mount Doom if I could, simply to end it once and for all.

If they were to hire or enlist a sane person to communicate with the community and handle any releases then I'd welcome stuff from them.

Just wondering, its been a boring day, and have been remembering about Gorfs days on this forums.

Constant arguing, incoherent rambling, "pirates, pirates everywhere" and page after page of locked threads... Yes, I remember those days too, thankfully they're over. It's taken a couple of years of De-Stalinization but we are getting there. ;-)

Thou Shall Not! ...... miss the ranting imbeciles.

Sticky that and add requesting Quake remakes and we're sorted.

Lmao, it sure did. We had a special status and our very own list of "DO's and DONT's" at one time. Some people are still considered 'special' and today I'm counting myself as one of those for not even noticing the rules had gone.

Posted by wozencl on Fri Mar 29, 2013 6:24 AM

You're completely right, they've gone! I didn't even notice the sticky had been removed. When did that happen?!!

To prove I'm not entirely mad see the thread below - I asked them to remove them and was told they were staying put.

I'd agree the forum's better for it but I suspect that has more to do with the departure of certain individuals. I do miss some of them mind you they were entertaining at times.

I'll try. Trust me this evil five day weekend is going be tough...

Oh, point-by-point is easier for my hangover-suffering brain to cope with. I'd almost certainly lose track otherwise.

Well, if you don't know

Well, we either make fun of the OP or offer some serious help.

I did my friend. :lolblue: I was the one who suggested JagDoom to begin with and posted a link to the source for Alaj... something or other. I also linked to it just in case somebody interested in it did read this thread. I'd call that constructive but you can disagree if you like I won't take offence. Besides, I don't think I'm capable of providing the OP with the " serious help" he requires.

I'll take another look at the Doom source this week sometime and see what I can do as I know someone else asked about it recently, JagChris maybe? Memory is bad these days.

If you can't contribute a constructive answer or harass the OP properly then pick another topic.

I'll leave the harrassment of the OP to you. You're far better equipped for it and I find doing so boring. Plus my old friends are no longer here to disagree with :_( . I'd like to poiint out this 'harassment policy' is the reason we still have those ridiculous rules I mentioned earlier in place, i.e., posters here are incapable of posting without acting like 13 year old boys rather than the middle-aged men they are. It saddens me a great deal, well actually a little, but still...

Telling someone to "Google it" is neither clever nor supportive.

Supportive or clever? Dear me, I long for the arguments of old. Google will reveal a lot including forbidden ROMs which come in handy if you don't have the WAD file which ID specifically did not include in the release.

My skill level? Surely you jest! I have a hard enough time playing the game, no where near to hacking it. I use to hack some old 8-bit games, like changing text on a disk. I was able to put an alternate character set into my 5200 rom. But that was some time ago!

Then you want someone else to create it for you and it's unlikely to happen ever unless it's in a different form to the one you're expecting and as a joke.

P.S. I managed to reply yesterday evening/this morning after enough alcohol to knock out a baby elephant - I feel rather chuffed!
