  1. I try to use emulators so I dont break my excelent Atari 2600A (yes, the Darth Vader model, it keeps telling me it is my father but I try not to listen to it since it riped my hand off). I got it back in 1989 before my woodgrain VCS broke up. I use Z26 every day and Darth Vader just once a month or once every two months so it doesn´t break. So I´d like to thank John Saeger for his marvelous emulator. And I swear I only have roms for games I actualy own (yeah, right ).
  2. Who can forget the great actor that is Alan Alda, he was great in M.A.S.H.! and he has always been a role model for me (Hawkeye Pierce was the name of the carachter he played in M.A.S.H.). All the things I love seem to colide in one place wich is the one I love the most: My childhood. Thanks to everyone on this messageboard for all the memories you bring to me and that I know we all share.
  3. I have been using Atar800win for quiet sometime and I would like to say thanks to Rich "Twist" Lawrence too for porting such a beautiful emulator from DOS to Windows. Rich has another beautiful product for classicgamers it is called Winfrotz a wonderful INFOCOM text adventure interpreter for windows and if you love the "white house" and that gracious wizard Frobozz then headright now to Winfrotz
  4. That is a dream of mine too. To finaly find where E.T. ended buried and to get all of the cartdriges and give one cartdrige to each and every collector who is looking for a buried E.T. copy. A lot of answers would be found there, like what is behind the COM-MAN conspiracy (a combination of combat and pac-man) and how did Pac-Man managed to reproduce if he has no aparent signs of genitalia. Or probably not, but its funny to know that E.T. ended up buried in New Mexico, probably after having his guts studied by NASA and U.S. Army personel.
  5. I used to play Bobby is going home (though the CCE version that I had was named only Bobby). I love that game, I still do. I remember the first time I finished a level, I was drooling because of the great graphics that my VCS was displaying infront of me. It kinda makes me sad when I think of this, its like these days I am not innocent enough to get amazed with simple things, maybe the desire of getting amazed with simplicity is what keeps me playing my VCS. Anyway, the point is that I used to get very embarrased when my big brother catched me playing Bobby instead of River Raid (my bigs brother favourite VCS game of all time).
  6. My first game after Combat was the most beautiful, perfect, excelent game anyone could have got theier hands on the market those days, it was the one and only: MS.PAC-MAN!!!!!!! Ta-ra!!!!!!! I could tell you other anecdotes about Ms.Pac-Man, like who was I thinking when I got my first hand job and stuff like that, but that gets a little off-topic.....
  7. I always wanted Congo Bongo, I was always in search of that game. Once a friend came over to my house and exchanged it to me for two days for the CCE version of Bobby. Other games I wanted to own badly were Frankenstein Monster, Ghostbusters and Decathlon. Pole Position II for the 7800 is another game I played in my youth that was like a dream com true to have played, and Donkey Kong Jr. for the 7800 is another beauty from videogames I will always remember as a great acomplishment to have played (for myself of course). So I guess Congo Bongo or any other Coleco games were always my dream to have for the 2600.
  8. I think the Berzerk sweater kicks ass, the mugs look great too (I would love to get my daily doze of cafeine in one of those). Too bad I don´t have a credit card, but when I see cool stuff such as this I find myself tempted on getting one. So to let you know what I think would be to say that all of this I tems look great!!!! You should make some "Space Invaders" items too.
  9. Does anyone remember what game is that boy from BIG (the Tom Hanks movie) playing at the begining of the movie? It looks like an interesting adventure game and I have always wanted to play it since the first time I saw that movie.
  10. Oops! I am extreamly sorry, I hadn´t actualy noticed my writing was all compressed in the left side. I don´t know why I do this, I swear is absolutley uncounsious and the reason is unknown to me, please I am very very sorry I feel embarrased and you have no idea how much. Thanks for pointing that out, I really hadn´t notice. I already checked Sly´s page and it is very helpful but the samples are down and I guess I´ll have to wait to download them, thanks a lot for this information as well. If you have further information on the Kid Vid I would love to read it. Thanks
  11. Hi, I was wondering if somebody has already emulated the Kid Vid, if not then I would like to know why not and if yes I would like to know if you could tell me where you found the tech info for emulating this machines behaviour.
  12. I think that this is a very BAD idea unless they find a way for people to keep the game as long as they want. This idea of using cell phones as portable arcades for 35 cents might get lucky but it will need support from a great number of Atari fans or it will definetly go down the toilet. Personally I dont use a cellphone, I like to go away not having to explain to anyone why I turned the damn thing off all the time I was away. Its a good Idea if it gets support from the fans. What I would love to see from Infogrames is a huge CD collecttion of Atari 2600 games, kinda like Intellivision Lives! from the Blue Sky Rangers.
  13. Do you know where can I find tech info on the Kid Vid unit? Do you know of some place to get this information? If so please tell me I would really apreciate it.
  14. I would love to buy one of those E.T. games. How and when will you sell them? (if you sell them at all). Please if you distribute them make sure you deliver to Central America or give them to someone who does. Contrary to almost everyone else I love E.T. The only cartdriges I have are Ms. Pac-Man, Skiing, Ghostbusters, Decathlon, Donkey Kong Jr, Demon Attack, Pitfall, and Frankenstein Monster. So as you can see I desperatly need to increase my colection.
  15. The real issue is that emulators are getting outdated, most of them are written for DOS and more contemporary operating systems like windows direct x and Linux are waiting to be throuly explored. What i would do is to wait. Dan Boris emulators kick searious ass but they are outdated and thats ok because is his (Dan´s) option. We need new emulation heroes since Sardu, Dan Boris, and the likes have grown up and acquired new issues far more important than emulation. You can go to The Twisted Page this fellow has a very kick ass emulator for the Atari computers wich also happens to run the Atari 5200 and on a windows platform.
