I just played and wow!!! It's fantastic. I don't have a real trackball, just the old Wico one, but I played with a stick and it worked great. One note based on my NTSC/VBXE 800XL - per your list, the display is cut off on real hardware - at least on my JVC Broadcast CRT. Amazing game. Always one of my favourites.

If I had only one stock A8, I would want a PAL 130XE. Just my two cents.

This is where Tramiel's approach was needed in 1979/80. Capture as much market share as possible, as early as possible. Not sure it would have overcome the brand name issue, but maybe selling C64 like numbers early goes a long way to giving the world a diversified view of the company. Afterall Microsoft now makes XBox.

The 80286 came out in 82, maybe a 16 bit system based on that, at that time, coupled with custom chips for graphics and sound and there is a way Atari stays relevant in the personal computer space.
