  1. I thought about that! My buddy has a table saw I could use.
  2. So I just put together a new shelving system to hold all my electronics and my Atari is 1/2" too wide! I measured my other components: PS3 = 12 3/4" Old VCR = 12 3/4" Old DVD = 12 3/4" Atari = 13 1/2" It would have been fine if it wasn't for the flared styling so cool in it's day. So, WTF? Why did Atari make their system just slightly wider than a standard component size?

    Sigh...

Might still be worth it for those two games. You could re-sell the rest of the stuff on ebay and cut down on the total cost. Or pimp out the "new" system with some mods and some new paint!
  4. 11,630 It took me forever to figure out that I got more fuel by SHOOTING the blue gas tanks. Too bad that's not how it works at the gas station down the street.
  5. 45925 It seams like I always loose a life in the first round and then not again for four more rounds. Somehow, with the keyboard, it takes me a minute to figure which arrow to press to get to the next cube without jumping off the edge.
  6. 2136 What the heck are you supposed to do in the third level? I guess I should go back and read this whole thread again... but it didn't make any sense the only time I made it that far!
  7. 1270 So if you look at the screen shot here, I was killed by a mutant WHILE HE WAS YELLOW! I thought I finally had the bastard, but he won out in the end. I'm ready to give up on this game!
  8. Here is the HTML Manual. I've seen this, but I was hoping that someone had the original manual. Anyone? I'd like to know what each game number is. I can tell that in some games the walkers go faster/slower and some shoot those little squares that follow you around. On another point, when I load this game on my Supercharger, I can't play games 1 and 5, but I can play the others... weird!
  9. 1668 Cool game... I don't like waiting forever for an edible fish in the 'B' mode of the game!
  10. I think that the Activision "Nazi Zombies" would be great for the 2600 - And not too difficult to imagine as a top-down type of game, similar to Room of Doom. What about Oregon Trail?
  11. 46,650 This game is insanely difficult once you past D:30,000. Those damn rainbow flying saucers get me every time! How on EARTH did someone score 135k+!?!?!?!?!? Is anyone playing this game with an original cart? Has anyone made it to Terra I? $50,000 is on the line here!
  12. Thanks! I wasn't sure where to put Sea Battle either. Are there any more good Co-op games out there?
  13. I noticed that Entombed crashes quickly into the game, and Kabul doesn't exist!
  14. After looking into all of your suggestions (thank you!), I've come up with a new type of 2-player game: The simultaneous score competition: Two players play at the same time and compete for a high-score, but do not affect the other player's game-play. Here's the list so far: 1) Head to head: Players directly battle each other for glory Demons to Diamonds Indy 500 Entombed Waizard of War Maze Craze Outlaw Medieval Mayhem/Warlords Armor Ambush Dodgem Mario Bros. Fall Down Sneak 'n Peak Super Challenge Baseball Bee Ball Ice Hockey Combat I & II 2) Co-op: Players work together to achieve a common goal Demons to Diamonds Entombed Wizard of War Mario Bros. Worm Wars 3) Simultaneous play: Players play essentially the same game simultaneously to see who can achieve the highest score. Game-play is not affected by the other player. Sea Battle (?) Human Cannonball Freeway Frogs and Fleas Fishing Derby Dragster Sky Diver Space War Okay, what else is out there in these categories??? I'm excited to see so many quality-tested two-player games!
