  1. I played it with a friend once back in the 80's... I believe it was 1984. It was pretty awful. But unfortunately I have not seen it since. You can buy the manual here http://www.donsgamecloset.com/GameRulesIL.html (not mine) for $4 ... it may have photos of the game in it. Thank you, I'll keep that in mind if a picture doesn't show up.
  2. I love board games as well as classic video games, and I'm an avid user of the boardgamegeek site. I noticed that the entry for the Joust board game (1983, Parker Bros) has no images. Anyone out there have a copy? I'd really love a picture of the front cover at the very least, maybe some pictures of the components. Thanks!
  3. I love Dodge 'Em for its challenge. I'm usually pretty good at the quick-reflex classics, but this one eats my lunch. I hit reset about a thousand times in frustration. I have yet to see the higher levels.
  4. Many of these signs apparently will. But guess what? I made these when we were snowed in this weekend and I couldn't test them on the sign. It turns out they won't work on our particular model, only in the software that came with it. Amazing. So you are the only folks who will get to enjoy them, as the sign won't show a dadgum one.
  5. Thanks for the multi-Invader upgrade! That would have taken me an embarrassing amount of time! I also really appreciate you taking the time to resize the animations for the forums. As for the 2600 relations... The Berzerk and Joust sprites are taken directly from the 2600 adaptations, with a minor adjustment to the profile view of the killer robot. The Enterprise is from the 2600 version of Star Trek: Strategic Operations Simulator. Admittedly, the Pac-Man and Space Invader animations are taken from other sources, but at least the games were released for the console.
  6. I'm a youth pastor, and I got my hands on a big LED window sign no one else could get working. It can use animated GIFs as long as they fit on a pixel grid of 16x72, so the oldschool sprite love has come in handy. It's limited to one color (amber, as you can see), but I think these still turned out quite well. They are actual pixel size and I couldn't figure out an easy way to resize, so you may need to break out the bifocals. The only one I still want to tweak is the Space Invader alien one--one space invader is not nearly as imposing as three would be. Apologies to anyone expecting 2,594 more of these to be in this thread.
  7. Couldn't hurt to try. I think there are more completists floating around here than you have prototypes.
  8. Hello, AtariAge, long-time listener, first-time maker of a new topic. I was playing Frogger for the 2600 today, and realized how much more fun it was for me to wimp out and use the B difficulty. The edge of the screen is just too deadly for me. I also noticed that Oink! seemed more fun with the trackball when it is set to the easier mode. So I was wondering: which games do you folks prefer to play on the novice setting?
  9. I'm thrilled I found this thread and just wanted to voice my support of your project! You can definitely count me in as an early adopter.
