Anyone know if Groovybee is okay?

Perry and I have been trying to contact Mark (groovybee) for quite some time, he hasn't been on AA in quite a bit and it not answering emails.  We are really concerned maybe he had a family situation or perhaps something happened to Mark and we are really getting worried about him (hey, I should know about emergencies and such...)

Anyone in the UK know Mark and have any contact with him?   Just want to make sure he's okay and if there is anything we can do for him.

Clearance --- the last of the USB Classics

Tue Apr 30, 2013 7:50 PM

Hi -

Time to clean out old inventory to make room for the new Classic 2 USB joysticks, so I've built out the last 310 USB Classic 1's and I'm selling them in a Clearance sale - $12.99 each or 2 or more for only $10.99 each, this is it, these are the old molds and the old board designs, once they are gone they are gone for good...

If you are interested in picking up one or more, they are here:

Back in the game

Fri Apr 12, 2013 8:32 PM

Hi All...

Well, I literally blew the dust off of things 3 days ago, the workbench and early Test XM's and Mark and I are going back and forth.  My main XM test unit unfortunately got knocked around badly in a tipping over of equipment on an adjacent workbench and it got banged up really bad and many of the jumper wires got ripped up, so its useless right now.   I have got both feet back and just sent Mark some updates, one additional update I need to get to him tomorrow, but if all goes well, then (HOPEFULLY) in a week I'll get boards for 4 final test units in, 2 will be for Mark and I to finalize designs and testing, debug the Audio portion and once we wrap that up then the other two will initially go out to Perry and Bob as they have both been in desperate need to test their games on real XM hardware.   So lets hope to get things wrapped up, I am feeling really good and feeling very upbeat, so I really want to get these XM's out to everyone.

Source Code-palooza

Wed Mar 20, 2013 10:48 AM

While doing research for the next book - Atari Corp: Business is War, I ran across some source code to various Atari 400/800 games, Donkey Kong, Defender, Dig Dug, Football and Tennis...

Enjoy!

Simpsons for the Lynx?

Tue Feb 12, 2013 8:17 PM

Going through some Syquest backups from Atari developer systems (hey, gotta keep busy sitting on the couch healing from my heart op) so while going through I found folder with Shanghai and some other rom's and among them was a 256k file size rom named Simpsons.rom

Now I know a music demo was released a long while back, I haven't tested this image, so this may be the same thing or it may be an actual game, I'll leave it to you lynx lovers to test it out and post info about the file, hope its a new game everyone can enjoy...
