  1. Now you really have my attention. Good thing I didnt bust out my credit card quite yet!
  2. I just looked that up - I've been subscribed to Phil'sComputerLab for years but I've never seen this before. I also cracked open my case - I've got ann ESS AudioDrive 1869 which does include a wavetable header. I think you just made me spend $50!
  3. Very close to my build 1. Diamond Monster Voodoo 1 2. Generic Soundblaster clone (hoping for a midi setup someday!) 3. ATI Rage Pro for 2D (Started out as my primary 3D card, but retired due to driver issues) 4. 32 MB RAM (Hope to update to 64) 5. Pentium MMX 233MHZ So far I've been limiting myself to locally sourced parts. I like this 95 era build, it's extremely flexible for both early DOS era stuff and later Windows games.
  4. Just in case you're still around (or if anyone comes up with this issue in the future) this problem seems to be monitor based, not an issue board to board. I was finally able to track down a Wells Gardner 25k7XXX monitor and the MK4 board I own works flawlessly with that monitor. I tried it again with my 19" Wells Gardner and I ran into the same issue that OP had in the original post. I also tested the MK4 board with a spare Nanao MS9 I had and I had the same video issue as before, except the resistors didn't fix the problem like it did on my 19" monitor. There's something about the video signal with MK4 boards that works better on some monitors and worse on others.
  5. No need to modify the board. Go grab a jamma extension harness on ebay. Find the 3 RGB lines, cut them, and then solder the 3 resistors in. No board modifications necessary.
  6. I had this same issue with my MK4 board on a Wells Gardner 19" monitor. I threw some 330 ohm resistors on the RGB lines and and I had decent video. This guy on arcade-projects had the same issue and solved it the same way: https://www.arcade-projects.com/threads/mortal-kombat-4-dim-video.16956/
  7. Picked up this Berzerk from a rural collector for 750. Super nice guy, it's always fun to meet fellow arcade guys. BTW, I didn't do that MK conversion. I claim no responsibility over that crooked control panel haha.
  8. Very nice set up. What's running the Mad Planets? Are you using an FPGA board? If so how do you like it? Lmao nevermind, I googled "Mad Planets Cabaret" and your build thread was the first that showed up
  9. Went on a 5 hour road trip to pick up this very fairly priced Revenge from Mars. This was one of my all time favs growing up. I managed to get this one in the basement by myself. It somehow felt even heavier than my Haunted House. The head was a pain in the ass to remove, but thankfully it had an LCD in it or else it would be nigh impossible for me to move it myself.
  10. I thought the sign would be bigger. Still jealous of that Devils Dare btw
  11. Good lord that's a handsome sign. I need one of those to put above my Gottlieb pins.
  12. I dont have anything that could help you, but thanks for showing me these things exist. This would be awesome in my game room with some shooters.
  13. Are you sure you're using the cracked rom file? Here's a thread with people having a similar issue. See if this has any affect:
  14. Gameplay videos are now popping up. It's a shame this build got shelved, Rare really knew how to use the N64 hardware to its fullest extent.
