Can the Eclaire (or even MIST) use a wireless USB keyboard?  I presume not, but still worth asking. since I would not have to use another keyboard (with more wires).

-Larry

Should work. Ive tested a wireless joypad but not a wireless keyboard.

Yes it work. I work this with my wireless keyboard of the Logitech from the first day! :)         https://www.logitech...ess-combo-mk220

Wow!!  Is the (assembled) mini still available from Panos?

Τhis time I work to set up the pick n place machine, so I have a small batch ready in the summer.

#4235712 FS: Jaguar Special PCB's

Posted by santosp on Sun Mar 10, 2019 3:21 PM

Hello.  :)

Before some time ago, I was design and built some prototype printed circuit boards, for the Jaguar.

The special thing with them, is that they can handle 2 different games up to 2mb each. Of course can store the settings and progress of each game, independently.
The transition between the 2 games, is made possible by the presence of a microswitch on the side of the board.

Because as I said is in prototype stage, I have make some corrections on pcb, which have to do mainly with the serial eeprom.
You can see these on the pictures below.

Otherwise, the pcb has the exact dimensions of the original, and it applies perfectly to the plastic shell of the cartridge.

So I have some pieces available for sale, for 10$ each.

Shipping cost as simple mail w/o track, will be 2$ more.

Each of them comes altered, including 2 new genuine ISSI serial eeproms, resistor, smd caps, and a microswitch.
The new owner will have to buy, program, and solder only 2 new eproms 27C160 type.

I will glad to answer in any questions.. ;)

#4205165 Create and burn eproms for standard Jaguar 2 chip cartridges

Posted by santosp on Thu Jan 24, 2019 1:18 PM

I believe they are 1uf. Digikey sells 500 for $35.

Actually have marked as 104 -> 10 + 0000 zeros -> 100.000 Picofarad -> 100 Nanofarad -> 0.1 Microfarad

This is the standard value of "decoupling capacitors" for the ic's.  :)

Hi, :)

I would like to inform me till the end of this week if someone else except Gandor interested for a keyboard adapter for eclaireXL mini.

This will can operate with a XEGS type keyboard.

The small expansion connector as it looks in up left side of the pcb, is placed  there to be possible in the future to connect a small pcb with the 4 special buttons, so to apply it to a future manufactured plastic enclosure.

That large circular line with the text CR2032 looks very very much like a space and holes for a CR2032 battery holder.....

Yes, because is exact this! ;)

Info. :idea:

In the next two weeks I will have available two more devices from the eclaireXL mini.
With these two last completed the period of prototypes. During this period 10 devices in total have been assembled, using also a serial number for each.

After that, I not intend to do more in the near future,  except if some high demand for at least 15 to 20 devices exist.

I will dedicate my limited time among other things to the construction of the Atari external keyboard adapter, as I did with VGA expansion board.

Later I will try for a dedicated enclosure for this also. I see the cheaper way using some CNC router.

So if anyone else need a board from the two last, let me know it within p.m.

Thank you all.

@Larry,
Stock XL/XE keyboard for what reason? I mean that these two keyboards are without plastic shells, so how they will stand as complete units?
Or you mean something different?

@mytek,
Maybe Hans mean that to add these keys as 4 independent buttons in the new keyboard interface board?

As well as, thank you for your so good analysis on the subject! ;)

That thing is so darn cute. Now all it needs is a sexy little case to go with it.

Maybe is time for us to open a public thread as to invite people who have the skills to design such a box?!   ;)

I thinking later this year to design a add-on board, to support the original XEGS keyboard, which so many members asked here.
Original schematic diagram exist for this, thanks to foft. :thumbsup:
