  1. Thanks for the kind words! Yeah, Frogger was the first homebrew I ever made back in 2009. I tweaked it a bit and re-released it in 2016 on my 4-in-1 compilation cartridge, along with my ports of E.T. and Sneak 'n Peek. Because why not, right?
  2. There's a pretty thorough review right here: edit: You beat me to it.
  3. I feel a little silly linking my game in a thread that is for John's version, but it can be found in my store here: http://www.khangames.com/store/home/13-scramble-complete-in-box.html
  4. Hi guys, I programmed the NES version of this that was referenced a few pages back by a few people and I just wanted to pop in here and comment on a few things: I am a huge arcade enthusiast, having already ported Frogger over to the NES, and Scramble was a game that I've had in the back of my head for years as a game that I had wanted to port over to the NES (which is my favorite game system). The one thing that held me back was in the arcade version of Scramble, a lot of the terrain is curved, and I am not a super talented coder, so I never knew how to tackle this issue. I have been at PRGE for the past three years, and when I arrived this past year and saw Scramble for the 2600 I was blown away by how good it was! It got my mind working into overdrive and it inspired me to take what he did and bring it over to the system I love and know how to code for. I in no way meant to take away from any of the work done on the 2600 version, or give any impression that I stole any of his work. I was merely super inspired by how amazing it was and wanted to use his "blocky" terrain idea in my version. I actually watched videos of this port on Youtube and paused it at every new screen to try to keep track of the undulation and use it in my version. I apologize if this comes off as stealing, but it's more a lack of creativity on my part. The 2600 version that was created by John really is a masterpiece! On NES it's a lot easier to keep track of collision in a 8x8 tile fashion, and it was basically a eureka moment seeing John's version that I could take it over to the NES. I started work on my version the day I got home from Portland and had it done by the first of the year. It was the fastest I had ever worked on a game, but it all came together very quickly having seen that it could be done. So seriously, thank you John for bringing your version to light, and I'm sorry if you have any ill will toward me. I have nothing but respect for you and what you do, and I want to thank you for making one of my dreams come true by showing me how this game could be handled on older systems.

  7. For any of you into NES Homebrews, the most recent one was just released last night at Retrozone. If you enjoy Frogger at all, it's a must have! http://www.retrousb.com/product_info...products_id=74 There's even a simultaneous two player mode! (I hope I posted this in the right place. I'm new here!)
