  1. Thanks for the reply, the 2600 power supplys are slightly diffrent. The 2600 covers split in half while the 7800 has a full cover and I cant figure out how to open it without breaking it.
  2. I got a used 7800 system and the wire from the power supply needs to be repaired. I ran a razor blade around where the housing goes togther but it doesn't want to come apart. How do you open the power supply without breaking it? Thanks for any info
  3. I recently purchased a Weller WESD51 soldering station, works really well. Since this unit is set by temp, what would be a good temp setting for chips and components when working on this older stuff? George
  4. The bottom of my colecovision says "Made in USA" The controllers are made in Taiwan George
  5. I noticed this when I was cleaning some light sixers I got from the flea market. One had this and the other didn't. It's on the inside of the top cover. Anybody ever notice this, these are the only 2 light sixers I have. George
  6. Got a bunch of 2600 stuff this week at flea markets. This power supply was in a box with some heavy sixer paddles. I don't have any heavy sixer power supplys but from what I read they were gray. Is this an early power supply? At the top it has 10 77, would this be Oct. 77? George
  7. Saw a Jag and Jag Cd at a flea market. After seeing some posts I was wondering what are the chances that a used Jag will work. I don't want to spend the money for it if these have a high failure rate. I've had good luck with used 2600's, Nintendo products but this would be my first Jaguar. Any thing to look out for? George
  8. Here's some pics The system works great, too bad it didn't have the correct joysticks. The box is in pretty good condition.
  9. Got this Sears Tele-Games heavy from the flea market for $5. It came with box and cardboard inserts but didn't have correct joysticks or power supply. S.N. 17588U no channel select switch
  10. With all the newer systems using CD or DVD, whats the life expectency of the consoles laser. When I buy a 2600 or other cart based system from a flea market you have a pretty good chance that it will work. After 30+ years how will the newer systems hold up? My son bought 3 Dreamcasts before he got one that worked correctly.
  11. The sticks do screw off, I didn't notice that before. Thanks for the info! George
  12. I didn't find any mention of these controllers with the Atari logo. From something newer I guess. George
  13. Every once in awhile I come across loose carts and systems, most times people want too much for them. June just happened to be a good month for me, so far this month the only thing I got was a loose US Games Raft Rider. Until I found this site I didn't realise that there was still such a big following for the 2600. You're best bet for finding stuff is going to yard sales where people are cleaning out their attics, they just want to get rid of their "junk" and sell it cheap. Good luck! George
  14. Hi Phil, I normally go to flea markets with my son, he goes for the newer systems and I look for older the older stuff. My son does have some earlier systems (2600,5200,Odyssey 2) but he concentrates mainly on NES and above. I'm mainly a Hot Wheels redline collector but I still look for additions to my video game collection. Everything I posted came from flea markets this past June, I came across this site because of the research of the Waterworld game. George
