  1. All decent USB power supplies never output more than 5V until they negotiate it with the device on the other end, through one of the existing QC or PD protocols. It's usually safer to use a charger from a good brand phone / tablet than a cheap no-name one that are likely badly regulated and either output over 5.1V or drop the output as the load increases.
  2. Can you post the full .cfg for a game, ideally with most of the tweaks enabled? I don't see the format documented on the manual, unlike on their previous minis where there were a lot of available settings.
  3. I really hope someone with a good bit of hacking knowledge gets one of these in his hands and cracks the carousel format. I've followed @Spanner's exploits and hit the same roadblock, .bod file validation by the carousel. It shouldn't be hard to patch and bypass if you know what you are doing, either recreating or ignoring the checksum using an external program like PCUAE to build your own carousel. This would benefit both A500 and 400 minis assuming they use similar hardware and software, which would make total sense.
  4. I love that they picked the 400 to mini-ize. Not having any hands-on experience with the Atari 8-bits, I see this one as the most unique and forward looking considering when it was launched. I'm from Argentina and I've never seen a 400 or 800 in the flesh, all we had were some 800XLs dumped on us once they had already been replaced by the XEs, and they didn't make a dent in a market dominated by Commodores and Sinclairs, where MSXs were a distant third.
  5. I'll wait for a discount (as I did for TheA500) but I'll get one for sure, never had any real experience with the 8-bit Ataris besides emulators, so this is perfect and will join my minis collection. Aesthetically, the 400 looks lovely for it's date and RGL's track record regarding firmware updates on their previous releases makes me trust them on delivering a great experience on this one too. I haven't dug thru the existing software collections floating around, but hope to find something similar to the amazing OneLoad64.
  6. Just get it for the looks, I have a 1, a 2+ and an X and the X (that looks like this one) is the cutest thing ever. I've got most other minis released so far and none beats this one on looks. I hope for the release of a Vader looking one, it's the only one that could be better looking imho.
  7. You're right, my mistake and can't edit it now It's $59.99 at Newegg for the basic edition, I jumped the gun and got the Gold at Amazon already, didn't think to check newegg https://www.newegg.com/p/2CT-0005-00061?Item=9SIBG5KJCC3778 I wouldn't wait too long, these have a history of selling out fast and scalpers love them...
  8. The 50th Anniversary edition is now on Amazon, at $59.99 for the standard with 110 games, and at $82.99 for the gold one with a set of paddles and 130 games.
  9. Does anyone know if this would work or have already tried it on the recently released Flashback 50th Anniversary? I've been waiting for it and just seen on Amazon that there are 2 different versions, at $59.99 for the standard with 110 games, and a gold one at $82.99 with a set of paddles and 130 games.
