  1. Just curious if these are still around. Would love one if possible.
  2. Huh. You learn something new every day. I always thought this was originally a Kraftwerk song. I used this in a RPG Maker game I made for friends some 15-16 years ago. By the way, this thread reminds me of the time as a kid, I rewatched Flash Gordon and *finally* realized why the Vanguard music sounded so familiar. ?
  3. Hey SpiceWare, thank you (and also for Medieval Mayhem!). I managed to pick up a copy of Boulder Dash recently, and that description was on the box. It got me curious, and it also reminded me that I have a few PAL carts that I've picked up through the years like "Bobby is Going Home", "Hell Driver", and "Acid Trip", and I was wondering if there was some way to play PAL carts here in the USA.
  4. I'm curious - if something is advertised as "switchable TV format for NTSC or PAL", is it something that the rom on the cart detects when the console is powered on? I'm unclear as to how that is.
  5. EDIT: Weird, the video didn't open at hte right time stamp but saw the cart finally. Thanks and very happy about that! (Something I wish the excellent Flappy and Tyre Trax had as well, given they copy the aesthetic, too.)
  6. I will confess that my one disappointment is that the audacity cart isn't shaped like the Activision cart. I feel the same way when AtariAge does something like the upcoming venture game but it isn't like an old Coleco cart. I'm a big fan of that part of it.
  7. One last observation to add to my original thoughts: with today's purchase, I realized that I now own Atari games that were made in each of the last six decades. That's amazing. The whole community can take a bow on that one.
  8. Old devs returning to the fold, homebrew scene as vibrant as ever. About the only thing I'd love to see is some of those more difficult homebrews and titles go back into circulation. I'll never be a fan of the forced scarcity model. In the meanwhile, I'm just incredibly grateful that we get new games from classic names, along with great originals from other devs like Spies In The Night, Anguna, etc., and awesome initiatives like the revamps of Berzerk and Wizard of Wor and stuff like AtariAge's TrakBall collection.
  9. Amusingly, my question to you is this: I have Ready Player Two, and all I can keep thinking about is if there will be a video game for *that*! ?
  10. Belatedly seeing this. Would love a copy if you have one still or do another batch. Love fun little themed hacks like this (reminds me of the Indy 500 hack).
  11. Was trying to find a photo from last Christmas and came across this snapshot of my Atari collection from that period, so thought I would share. It's missing a few titles, like last year's amazing Mappy port, but it's more or less all there. It's mainly originals, with a few reproductions and a few "what ifs" where I had carts made based on unreleased games using the prototype ROMs that are out there. My original Atari collection was unceremoniously given away to someone else when I was a kid, so this incarnation started in 2007 when I bought a bulk collection (back when those were still cheap), and then it grew from there. For those of you curious, these are the games that I'm looking to get in there eventually: A-Team Asterix boulder dash defend your castle dukes of hazard Dumbo's Flying Circus Give Me My Pancake Good Luck Charlie Brown Halloween III Lord of the Rings: Journey to Rivendell Miss Piggys Wedding Obelix Out of Control Pepsi Invaders pick up Planet of the Apes Polo Pursuit of the Pink Panther Stunt Cycle Xevious wing war Apart from that, I'm pretty much wrapped with the exception of continuing to support the homebrew scene. Looking forward to picking up some of the newly released titles when I can.
  12. Unfortunately, I missed out on this and was hoping to pick one up.
  13. Will the Atari Age Store ever make those titles or some of these other ones only sold at events years ago available? Would love to have a copy to play.
  14. Hi all, I'm pretty sure that eleven years ago, I used this site to identify the specific kind of storage unit I should use for my Atari games. The ones that I bought were from the Container Store. However, I need a new one and I haven't the foggiest what the brand/name is for the storage bin, and the local Container Store by me no longer seems to stock them. I'd like to track one down, but I need to know what I'm looking for. I'm hoping one of you has the same storage and can point me in the right direction. 15. Alright, thanks. I'll keep researching. If anyone else knows of some other plastic bin storage options, let me know. This hits on the next subject I wanted to discuss: I want plastic storage for the sealable, anti-dust logic. I also don't want to have to baggie each individual game (it would be a lot of baggies). How important do you rate bagging each game? I'm not completely opposed to the idea...I'm just not sold on it yet.
