Oh I appreciate that. I thought it was a copy of the principal intended label art. I was just interested to put it with my prototype. But I would never put it on the cart. Just a cool thing to show with the cart. The only known protos come either nothing in it or a white sticker. Mine is just a cart that with no label it came in an eBay sale many years ago with the board and a few other games. I didn’t believe the listing when it said Surf up. But I took a shot and won! Lol. Thank you for your help!

Does anyone have the high res of the label. I would love to have it for my Surf Up Prototype Cart?

I have never had a chance to test. Life got in the way and pulling out a VIC 20 was lost in life. I still have them and will let everyone know when I get a chance to get around to testing. NES Black Box and Wata has gotten in the way. But, I think those things are all good for us collectors out here.

I saw Tank Wars but not Commander in the released list. And it didnt look like Thorn was the company that released it?

I am not a technical computer person. So I wasnt sure as to how much UV light takes to erase the EPROMs. But I see that one of the games was released. Maybe its Computer War. Those might be regular chips and just a prototype that was used for testing where as Porkies and Tank Command might be EPROMs. I bought stickers I just have not had the time to do anything more.

These are in fact Protos. I have not tested yet. I opened two and it is an eprom cart. It did not have a sticker on the window. So I did not want to photograph. The second one had a sticker it did look like a regular chip. I will test them and let everyone know what is on them as soon as I figure out where the hell my Vic 20 is! I have one somewhere. I have no idea why the guy would not have opened or tried to test them as he could have increased the value 5 fold or more if he had spent the $30 to get a Vic 20. But, hey one mans loss is anothers gain!

I think what that 2700 sold for was a joke and was Way Undervalued. You will never see one go for that low again. It is a true piece of history and not all people buy for bragging rights. Some buy it because they truely love the history and admire the incredible technology that went into something like a 2700! These will be viewed as the Honus Wagner of Video games in the future. If a coin or a baseball card was one of 10 or 12 it would be worth $1,000,000+! Even Pokémon cards and magic cards are going for $25,000+! And those are cardboard! In ten years Atari 2700's will trade hands in the $20,000+ range!

From what it looks like it was luck. The guy thought it was something special but really didn't know until he got it home. But he made a nice score. And sold it to a very good looking collector! That looks like William Shatner and plays it naked in his bedroom!

I ordered my driving controller over two years ago and recieved nothing!!! Is George still alive?

I do not believe there is any weight difference. If there is it is so small it is undectable on my scale.

Holy cow, welcome back! Thank you my friend! I am always lurking just do not have time to post often. But I was looking up some rarities and I had to comment! I hope everone is well and still collecting!
