  1. Have you tried using ICE-T 2.0.8.6 80 column ANSI/ASCII terminal for the Atari 8-bit? You can download a copy here in these forums. It was posted a while back. I use it all the time without the XEP80. -=[Lord Cygnus]=- SysOp of YYZ BBS yyzbbs.no-ip.org:65
  2. I will get it for you tonight and private message you here! Thanks, -=[Lord Cygnus]=-
  3. YYZ BBS is running on Oasis Jr. BBS software (Public Domain 1988). Currently I'm running these modes: 40 column callers in ASCII or ATASCII 80 column callers in ANSI Thanks, -=[Lord Cygnus]=-
  4. No, it does not support 80 col. ATASCII at this time. -=[Lord Cygnus]=-
  5. Speed can be an issue. I run 8-Bit Guild BBS (BBS Express) at 2400 bps in ATASCII/ASCII and I run YYZ BBS (Oasis Jr BBS Systems) at 9600 ATASCII/ASCII/ANSI. Slow that baby down a bit where it was designed back in the day! -=[Lord Cygnus]=-
  6. Good news! You may download Oasis Jr disks 1 & 2 from my BBS. Telnet to: yyzbbs.no-ip.org:65 I have the two discs + documentation in the downloads section. They are arc'ed, so you will need to also download the Un-Arc utility to unzip them. Hope that helps, -=[Lord Cygnus]=-
  7. MacRorie, Did you try the settings I gave you to program into the Lantronix UDS-1100? On a PC log into the Lantronix UDS-1100 via 'Telnet Configuration' connection using their device installer utility to configure these settings: First, select '7 Defaults' and then, '9 Save and exit' to clear out any previous old settings. Next, select '1 Channel 1' and make these adjustments: *** Channel 1 Baudrate: 9600 I/F Mode: 4C Flow: 05 Port: 10003 Connect Mode: CE Send '+++' in Modem Mode: enabled Show IP addr after 'RING': enabled Auto increment source port: disabled Remote IP Adr: --- none ---, Port: 00000 Disconn Mode: 00 Flush Mode: 00 Example: UDS-1100 Settings by agpctech, on Flickr This cured my UDS-1100 from the extra characters spitting out. If that does not work, contact Mad Hatter on Heatwave BBS. He had to get rid of the extra characters spitting out on his BBS: Telnet to: www.heatwavebbs.com:9640 Mad Hatter can give you his Lantronix configurations and solution he implemented. Hope this helps! Good luck. -=[Lord Cygnus]=- YYZ BBS - yyzbbs.no-ip.org:65 8-Bit Guild BBS - 8bitguild.no-ip.org:130
  8. Also, MacRorie, change the port # in the UDS-1100 settings to your telnet port 8888. -=[Lord Cygnus]=-
  9. Cool, MacRorie! Nice to see another 'real' Atari BBS in the community. I run YYZ BBS and 8-Bit Guild BBS on real A8 equipment. One of the things I noticed logging onto your board with my UDS-1100 was that your board kicks back a small string of jumbled characters after I type something or hit return. To clear up this problem in your UDS-1100 settings, try this: On a PC log into the Lantronix UDS-1100 via 'Telnet Configuration' connection using their device installer utility to configure these settings: First, select '7 Defaults' and then, '9 Save and exit' to clear out any previous old settings. Next, select '1 Channel 1' and make these adjustments: *** Channel 1 Baudrate: 9600 I/F Mode: 4C Flow: 05 Port: 10003 Connect Mode: CE Send '+++' in Modem Mode: enabled Show IP addr after 'RING': enabled Auto increment source port: disabled Remote IP Adr: --- none ---, Port: 00000 Disconn Mode: 00 Flush Mode: 00 Example: UDS-1100 Settings by agpctech, on Flickr I spent an entire weekend several years ago programming my UDS-1100 to work right with calling BBS'es to eliminate strange behavior when connected. This configuration works great connected through my ICD P:R:Connection via RS232. -=[Lord Cygnus]=- YYZ BBS - yyzbbs.no-ip.org:65 8-Bit Guild BBS - 8bitguild.no-ip.org:130
  10. Let us know when you get it back online! Don't give up on no-calls and slow-calls! I've had my boards up for 3 years now. It seems that the fall/winter months get busy each year. I know DarkLord has run his board for over a decade and seen it all! -=[Lord Cygnus]=-
  11. low.blow, Welcome back to BBS'ing in the year 2015! Telnet is keeping us alive with all the innovative mods for our Atari's. However, the good 'ol vintage boards some of us run are mainly on original equipment and virtually no assistance from a PC. At least my 8-Bit Guild BBS is running on Atari 130XE, 3 1050 drives, Atari 850, and Lanronix UDS-10 for telnet. Retro computing in a modern world rocks! -=[Lord Cygnus]=-
  12. Hey all... I just uploaded another cool video of me using an Atari XM301 modem. I bought this classic 300 bps modem off of an Ebay dealer who listed it. The thing looks pratically unused and brand new. I used to own one back in 1985-87 before I upgraded to 1200 bps back then. This video is what I recorded today of the XM301 in action! XE Term & XM301 Modem - Direct link: https://youtu.be/IZ5xO9BVfGQ Here are some more previous demo videos I made of ICE-T and BobTerm terminals: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIEfAO4kGUtciLrrJ8cUMeQ/videos -=[Lord Cygnus]=-
  13. Changed my BBS port #'s again: <8-Bit Guild BBS> Telnet to: 8bitguild.no-ip.org:130 IP address: 99.116.104.171:130 <YYZ BBS> Telnet to: yyzbbs.no-ip.org:65 IP address: 99.116.104.171:65 This should help work with various dialers and routers that only recognize port #'s that are 4 digits or less. These should fit in your dialers macro as well. I chose port '130' since 8-Bit Guild runs on a 130XE and # '65' since YYZ BBS runs on a 65XE computer. Enjoy your retro computing today! -=[Lord Cygnus]=-
