Kickstarter -- GameTable Online (Classic board/card games)

Wed May 22, 2013 7:03 PM

Please help support a company and their much needed Kickstarter!  GameTable Online (http://www.gametableonline.com/) is a company that has been offering online playable versions of classic board and card games for over 10 years, either against the AI or other humans.  Games like Axis and Allies, Axis and Allies 1942, Tsuro, Chess, Nuclear War, Guillitone, Cosmic Wimpout, and many others.  The fees to play are low.  They want to expand their gaming site and add new games and also new improvements.  For pledging you can get some free months on the site.  I'm a mod at the site now (recent change) and want to help spread the word and get more people there...maybe we can even do a AA themed tourney or night.  I can talk to the people in charge (kind of friendly with them) about it.  In any case, please check their Kickstarter out!  http://www.kickstart...e-super-charged

More PayPal Changes

Sat May 4, 2013 9:51 PM

Got this e-mail the other day, and it SEEMS like a good thing:    "PayPal is always working to improve your PayPal experience, and we’re happy to announce that more transactions are now eligible for Seller Protection.

Transactions that were once ineligible for Seller Protection due to unconfirmed addresses are now eligible. Your account associated with XXXXXXXXX  has been selected as an early participant in this change; PayPal will extend coverage changes to all accounts by the end of the year.

This new policy affects only those goods covered by Seller Protection. Intangibles remain ineligible for coverage. In responding to customer complaints, sellers must still follow the Seller Protection guidelines.

Thank you for being a valued customer.

Sincerely,

PayPal"

Flight Simulator?

Sun Apr 14, 2013 2:36 AM

On the Blue Sky Rangers website, in the section devoted to INTV games, there's this paragraph on  Flight Simulator game: "The idea resurfaced several years later. The Fall 1988 INTV catalog promised Flight Simulator soon, before work had started. Producer Dave Warhol chose John Sohl to program the game, based on John's work on B-17 Bomber. Despite John's best efforts, he and Dave agreed the results were "disastrous." It simply was not feasible on the Intellivision. The project was  abandoned." Has anything ever been found of this?  It sounds like a demo or video or something was at least done.  I'd love to see how bad it actually was. :)

Final Fantasy (NES) Hacks?

Tue Mar 26, 2013 12:24 PM

I remember a number of years ago there were some interesting hack projects for the original Final Fantasy (NES) that never got finished.  Can anyone suggest a finished hack for the game that is good?
