I haven't played it myself either, but I trust this guy's judgement. So far, all his recommendations I followed were dead center hits:

I have seen people spend flipping great wadges of cash on ePay for a boxed SNES Earthbound. I guess it's reputation is deserved.

Mendon, I suggest watching this video in its entirety and judging for yourself. I've never played it for more than a few minutes personally, but the Happy Video Game Nerd paints a pretty clear picture of what it's all about. Maybe he hypes it up a little more than it's worth, but I can say I'm interested in playing it now (have been for a while actually, just haven't gotten around to it.. I think that will change when it releases on the Wii U).

No one is that misinformed about cars in real life, and I suppose no one is that misinformed about video game consoles in real life as well.

I take it you've never worked in a video game store. You wouldn't believe how stupid the general buying public is when it comes to videogames.  :o

In Topic: Xbox killed the used game

Based on the articles I've read, I think this information is false though and many people are completely misinterpreting the used game issue. I believe that (and I hope I am right), as long as you have a physical disc, you can play the game. Installs are mandatory regardless, so the registering is simply if you want to play the game without the disc. If you install the game on a friend's hard drive though, they will be required to either have the disc in their drive to play it (just like how the current 360 works), or they will have the option to buy a license if they want to play that data which is already installed on the drive (assuming they don't have the physical disc any longer).

No one knows 100% yet whether the online connectivity requirement is going to effect the actual ability to play games, so it's too early to tell there.

Wanna bet it wasn't very many people?

LOL, it may have been more had they actually managed to get a bigger majority of the library's *good games* working. :roll:

In Topic: Xbox One Used Games

All right, this may have been stated already, but after reading this article here (http://www.computera...he-world-works/), I think this is how they are expecting it to work:

New game:
1. Buy game;
2. Register game;
3. Install game;
4. Play game without disc.

Used game:
1. Buy game;
2. Install game;
3. Keep the disc in the drive, then play the game.
4. Don't have the disc but someone previously installed it on your drive? You have the option to buy it for the MSRP as a license/digital download.

From what I'm gathering based on that article I linked to (disregard the first paragraph of it, it's misleading), registering the game is to enable PLAYING IT WITHOUT THE DISC (which the current 360 cannot do unless it's a straight download title). This is obviously to avoid rampant piracy (i.e., installing a game on every friend's XBOX, like in the old days of computer gaming). The "fee" is if someone tries to play a used game on a different system than it was registered to, WITHOUT THE DISC. If they want to play it (WITHOUT THE DISC), the system will give them the option to buy it. If they HAVE the disc, they will theoretically be able to play it. Looking at the whole used game and fee thing this way, it makes perfect sense. The article specifically states that you can take the game to a friend's house and play it, so save from doing a system license transfer (I doubt this to be the case), how else would one be able to manage this? (hmmmmmmm....) :roll:
