  1. Where do I find info on these e-cards? never heard of them before. Thanks.
  2. That's really cool, I had no idea you could play online. If any of you guys that want to play have AOL or Yahoo instant messengers, please post those as well. I don't have ICQ. I'm going to download the new software and hopefully we all can get a little gaming going between us.
  3. I wouldn't call me overrated, i'm just right quote: Originally posted by bergbros: I know that some put Berzerk as their favorite. I can't for the simple reason that the robots can not fire diagnolly. That removes a huge element and challenge from the gameplay. That and the six mazes only and the result is a game that gets pretty repetitive quickly.
  4. In that interview, the programmer made a quote I had to put up here as it made me laugh quite hysterically: "We would go to CES shows and the amount of people doing VCS games grew phenomenally - there were even people doing pornographic VCS games which if you consider how blocky things were... that was disturbing on many levels "
  5. I have a set that I bought new a couple of years ago and have no problem with them, they work great. Since they were new, hard for me to tell how long they last, seems like several have had problems with them tho.
  6. ordered from them twice, quite a bit of stuff and the stuff was better than described on their own website or catalog. Highly recommended.
  7. I am looking for an accurate estimate on game count for 2600 carts. I don't want to count label variations, cart variations, name variations, etc etc. I want to know how many DIFFERENT games there are out there. So excluding all variations, how many unique actual games are there?
  8. yeah, that site seems to be down, they are still selling them for $5 each off their original site. I assume infogrames probably took them down for using atari in their name. http://www.oshealtd.com
  9. I see O'shea is up to $5 a boxed cart now. Still pretty cool you can get a whole box of em sent to you. Mine came in an old atari box that stored 72 carts originally, pretty cool
  10. I like the idea, I like the idea even more with a cd-rom. Would be much more less expensive and can include a hell of a lot more goodies like hundreds if not thousands of pictures, video clips, etc. That would definately be cool. And just so you have an idea, I would be willing to pay 15-20 for such a thing like that on cd.
  11. The lynx backlight you can turn on and off, it's really an amazing handheld. That is exactly what gameboy's need. A backlight that can be turned on and off. quote: Originally posted by TheBrassMonkey: IMO I think back lights suck (no playing outside int he light), I would rather have a front light which I can turn off and on (cant wait till portale monopoly releases the front light kit for the GBA). The Lynx, well, I have never owned one but I have played one and in my experence its more of a handheld then a portable, the thing makes the game gear look small. But, the games on it are really good and since Song Bird is still making games for it you wouldnt hav eto worry about running out of games to play. But, if you want a REALLY powerful handheld I suggest you dish out the extra couple of bucks for a GP32, it has a HUGE screen, great sound, mp3 player, image viewer, and its about the same size as a GBA. But you will have to import from lik-sang.com since there the only place which importing them. But if you want the most bang for your buck I say go for a Neo Geo Pocket Color, it has the BEST LCD screen out there (no odd angles like the GBC), a little joystick instead of a cramped up D-pad, and there is not one bad game for it, it has a great library of games such as Sonic, Metal Slug 2, SNK Vs. Capcom (better then the DC version), Puyo Puyo Pop, Snk Vs. Capcom Card Fighters Clash, Faselie, King of Fighters R2, asnd I can go on and on. You can pick one up for cheap at therage.com but I suggest you spend 60 bucks on the newer model because its smaller and cooler looking (the original is already really small though). I hope I help ya
  12. The best atari buying experience I've had with best. I've ordered several used items and almost all of them come to me as if they were brand new. I can't believe it. They clean everything up, make sure as much as they can they all have manuals etc etc. It's worth the money to do business with these guys.
  13. My opinion is that the lynx compares with the game boy color more than anything except that it was ahead of the gameboy color several years. The plus's of the lynx over the gameboy color would be it has a backlight, so the screen is much easier seen and can be played in the dark or dark areas. This of course, uses more battery than the gameboy. The gameboy is smaller, but the lynx has a nice fit in your hands especially if they are bigger than a japanese kid's hands. lol, no offense. I havn't bought the gameboy advance because I refuse to until they put a backlight on it. I got rid of my gameboy color cause I got sick of trying to angle it so the light would hit it right so I could see the damn thing. Plus, it's fun to play in the dark sometimes or at least be able to.
  14. I would be highly suspect of an unopened and sealed older 2600. Possible, but not very likely. Sadly, if someone had a decent box, they could put together a nice 2600 unit to appear never used and get some nice bucks. I bought a new, factory sealed and shrink wrapped 2600 JR. from best a few years ago. Still have it, never used. Not as good as an older 2600, but still pretty cool to have. Love seeing a brand new 2600 controller all wrapped up too. haha quote: Originally posted by Albert: Wow! If you look at the bidding for that 2600, though, it's almost all from bidders with (0) (or worse) feedback. Still, you don't see one of those every day. ..Al
  15. bought a brand new jag cd unit from best electronics a couple months back. It was perfect like it was made the day before. I definately recommend them for any atari stuff. I have bought a lot of used stuff from them too and it almost always comes looking like it was new, they clean everything and take great care of it and include extras.
