  1. I don't know the official answer but, if there is not the easiest thing to do is grab what you need out of the rarity guide. Click "begin search" and you should get 970 records. At 100 records per page you should only have to cut and paste 10 times. You may have to clean it up a bit and it may take a couple hours to get how you want but it should be a pretty nice list when your done.
  2. As I mentioned in an earlier post I have been pretty excited to dig out the old 2600 and play some games with the kids. While I knew the system was boxed up and put away at my parents house in a safe spot i figured i would do a little shopping online until I had a chance to visit and grab the system. I bought off Craigs list what I thought was a good price (and i still think was a fair price) about 60 games (mixed 2600 and 7800) and a 7800 system. When I met the guy who was selling the system he mentioned that he didn't have the power cable. Well the price was good enough to chance it and buy with out trying but it meant that i would have to wait until i got a cable and power cord. Not a big deal i bought a reproduction cord at Atariguide and while i was at it ordered an RCA to F connector. Last night i finally made it to my parents house i dug out the old 2600. Everything was there boxed the way I remember it with two exceptions. First the av switch was missing and second the power cord. I also forgot how bad the condition of the controllers were. So now I'm stuck with two systems a boatload of games I have never played and no way to play them. I know its nothing to cry over since i have a power cord on the way and the majority of my problems are short term but man that's annoying. On a side note my 2600 controllers are in really rough condition. Can anyone confirm the controllers in the flashback2 work with the old 2600?
  3. Thanks for the warm welcome and advice. Ill give the market place a try if i find something that interests me. As for playing or collecting i find i enjoy games more that i have purchased or acquired through trade. That doesn't mean that the harmony is not a great product but i definitely need to think about before going that direction. I think for me it may degrade the experience a little. I guess my answer is collect to play.
  4. When I was 3 or 4 years old my parents brought home our first video game system, the Atari 2600. Its still works and is stashed away at my parents house right now. This past weekend i decided it was time for my oldest son to get his first try at video games so i pulled out the flashback 2 i bought a few years back the last time i got nostalgic and he had a blast. I plan on digging the old 2600 out and seeing if it will fire up. It worked fine about 10 years ago so i have high hopes. I want to build up my game collection since we only had a hand full of games growing up. Is there any advice for someone who wants start collecting Atari games? Are their games that should be in every collection? What is the lowest value a common game should bring so i don't pay to much? Any advice is appreciated.
