  1. Hi Gorf I really love this program but how do I change it from 160A to 320x1 ? If that is possible, I do not know maybe i am doing somthing wrong. Dan
  2. well they could make a holder to accomodate a paddle controller on one side and a joystick on the other kinda like the ones they used to have for the 5200 so you could play space dungeon and games like robotron would work pretty good. in fact here is a picture of one with the space dungeon game: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 350069120067 Dan
  3. A port of Tron to the 7800 is alot closer than you might think. cool that i will buy if a cart is made
  4. I chose the following only because they could be made to look great on 7800 anyways here is my list: Cloak and Dagger Elevator Action gauntlet crystal castles moon patrol PS. I know this was not in the rumor mill but it would have been nice to have port of Tron from the arcade that would have rocked back then. Dan
  5. I have always been real partial to Robotron mainly because that is my fav arcade game of all time, well that and I Robot but that aint never gonna hit the 7800 anytime soon just not possible at all. Dan
  6. I loved it too. As a 12 year old boy with his first computer, I thought it was hilarious - in a sick sort of way. true that, in this version I am going to replace the fireman with ambulance guys instead as well as make the building graphics in the activision style with the sunset looking horizon dunno yet some of this is gonna be easy and some is gonna be hard i can see that now with the way Maria handles things. but I would really like it to have at least a little better graphics than the original if i can get away with it just have to play with it and see, just aint the same as poking it in and USRing in to memory like regular 8 bits were in the days of old but I will try. Dan
  7. Erm... I haven't publicly released a graphic mode program yet. I'm not sure what you are talking about unless you mean Gorf's PC tool? I have a command line tool that takes windows BMP files and a *.ini file of instructions which I'm due to release soon(ish). oops sorry you are right i am wrong my bad, I will ask Gorf about it later on. Dan
  8. Well I do have one more question GroovyBee but it is not a 7800 question though, not to seem like an ass but is there any way you could add a graphics mode change to your sprite program ?. It is a great tool but i cannot get it to change from mode 160A for some reason. If not that is cool was just curious is all and again thanks for the help and the tool :
  9. I remember that game! Had it on our first IBM PC ... my friend and I found it so twisted! I haven't seen it in years! Look at those CGA graphics now! hey DracIsBack, Yeah I loved that game and just thought hey that would make a great 7800 title but yes it is a messed up idea I agree. Dan
  10. thanks for the info GroovyBee , sorry about the question I was on my way to work and did not have time to search the forums before I left , but the info you linked to was more than enough to get me started. Gave me everything I needed to know once again thanks your a life saver sir. Dan
  11. how much does the 7800 graphics system differ from the 8 bit graphics system used by the 600XL in the ASM area ?. was just wondering as I would like to try my hand at writing a Clone of a PC game from 83 called Bouncing Babies written by Dave Baskin for the 7800. I know the hardware can handle it easily enough, but how difficult is compared to 5200 ?, are the DL DLL's the same layout ?. thanks for any help Dan
  12. How much would an Atari 800XL computer with hook ups cost on the average ?. thanks in advance for the info. Dan
