  1. I followed your instructions twice for 7-Zip + .7z files and failed miserably. No problem whatsoever using WinRar + .rar files though!
  2. I've ordered a few items in the past and thought the service was (considering the maze of a website) surprisingly very good. I haven't received the soup nazi treatment but thanks for the heads up!
  3. The instruction sheet for this game unit is pretty generic but I've scanned it into a PDF (OCR'd so it's searchable). If you care to take a look I've uploaded it here: http://depositfiles.com/files/7d25565a7.
  4. I checked my Left Difficulty - it was positioned halfway between A and B and I notice it seems loose. We had a bunch of toddlers over on the weekend and my girlfriend did mention she had to put my Atari away... Anyway, you must be right - that 1st game must have been played on A. My theory is when I hit the Select switch to change game options, the slight jar+gravity must have been just enough for the finicky switch to toggle from A to B, thus taking the game out of test mode from that point on. Thanks.
  5. This version has turned the fun level up a notch ... I like it! I wanted to report something unexpected that I experienced using Light Sixer+Harmony. On my very 1st game (1P/Solid/Normal/Shield) I blasted all of the asteroids without noticing a single saucer and then waited a while (maybe 30s) but a new wave of asteroids failed to appear. I hit Reset and selected the Hard level and all games from that point worked flawlessly (and I got to see the new saucer/UFO graphics).
  6. So far, I've bought 2 cheap R8s while shopping around the local used stores: Glacier Patrol and Robin Hood / Sir Lancelot. I rarely see anything beyond R5.
  7. I liked it so much I made it my cell phone ring! My favorite 5 homebrews are: Allia Quest Fall Down Ladybug Medieval Mayhem Thrust+ Platinum
  8. I babysat a 4 year old that loved the Fall Down homebrew. To my surprise, he managed to beat both his older brother and myself at it so it gets my recommendation!
  9. It's hard to trim it down but these are the 10 games I still play the most: Allia Quest Dig Dug Enduro Fall Down Frostbite Ice Hockey Joust Megamania Ms. Pac-Man Phoenix River Raid
  10. I've always enjoyed David Crane interviews and Steve Cartwright's games were my favorites as a kid. Thanks for the PDF!
  11. I've only picked up games at local yard sales and pawn shops so I haven't found anything beyond R6: Track and Field, Frogger II and Gremlins. Also got Snoopy and the Red Baron down the block for $2.
  12. Yet another vote for Kaboom! Video Olympics is another one I dust off regularly. Kids that come over who haven't seen an Atari always get a kick out of the soccer variation (pun not originally intended).
  13. I missed any local media coverage of the auction in my small neck of the woods but somebody in the area obviously didn't: just did my weekly kijiji search, keyword "Atari". Coincidentally, 1 of the 3 hits was Wanted: looking for this game Air raide for atari 2600.. please call me ###-####.
