  1. This is the batari Basic forum: http://www.atariage.com/forums/forum/65-batari-basic/ Here is a page about batari Basic: http://www.randomterrain.com/atari-2600-memories-batari-basic-commands.html Here is a page about Visual batari Basic (VbB) which wraps itself around batari Basic: http://www.randomterrain.com/atari-2600-memories-batari-basic-vbb.html VbB has a lot of useful tools and makes the whole game making process a lot easier. I couldn't get anything done without it. Thank you
  2. I just found this site a few days ago and like all my work/hobbies, I tend to dive right in. So that being said, I found a video on youtube that shows some basic info on the program batari basic, and I was wondering if that was the best way to go with this? I'm not lazy by any means, so if there's some reading on the subject somewhere on the basic down and dirty programming for just the atari 2600 I wouldn't mind reading it. I've been going through the forums and I see there's a lot of info, but it was starting to look like there weren't many posts in the last few years. So if people are still out there and doing this, shoot me a note and let me know what you think...I have a million ideas for games that I would love to make, but realisticly I know that I have to start with the most simple thing I can. Baby steps...I look forward to hearing from everyone and digging into this like a maniac
  3. Hello, I'm new to this site and am seriously thinking of programming for the 2600. I LOVE that system and would love the opportunity to make something for it. Anyway~I'm military and married to a gorgeous brunette and we have 3 German Shepherds. Basically that's my life. Hello to everyone if you're all still really here.
