  1. One day, my room will be clutter free like that again
  2. know it's been awhile, wasn't sure if you'd remember or not. Thank you for your help again I found this info about the 1080 Monitor: or, it's supposed to be the same as the 1080 I'll go with this first on the 1080 since this monitor is on the desk currently. Have to make some room on my "U" shaped desk for the SC1224 as it's full of my radio gear and this Win7 PC, 1088XLD, 810 & XF551 AND MORE
  3. Cool, okay. Did you use Digital RGB or Analouge RGB Setting/switch on the rear of the 1084S monitor?
  4. Will have to summon @Simius and see if that's possible... RGB output from the VBXE looks t be simpler connecting up for me at the moment. Is there a specific core needed for VBXE for RGB? Besides the Samsung SC1224, I also have an Amiga 1080 monitor to try also...
  5. Thanks for the idea, but I'm not good at working on something that small. I'd end up shorting out some pins on the adjacent IC... Maybe I can order a new Sophia with that mod done for me...
  6. Yikes, that's what I was afraid of as smd i too small for me...
  7. Thanks Herb, I must be remembering the mod on the 1088XEL where you had to add a resistor and cap under the DIN13, thought that there were two resistors that had to be added on the 1088XLD, but reread the 41 pages on that and wasn't in that thread. Also see that the 1v sync mod for Sophia requirements was added to the 1088XLD long ago...
  8. Hi all, I dug out my Samsung SC1224 that hasn't seen light of day in 28 years and am looking to hook it up to my 1088XLD with either the VBXE or Sophia v2 and was wondering if there any additional mods needed to get this monitor to work with these upgrades. I read where @mytek had to change a smd resistor on the Sophia v2, is this still needed for the Samsun SC1224? Anything like that needed for the VBXE??? I too have to do as @DrVenkman did with his SAmsung SC1224 as the 3 front controls are frozen solid, so will need som WD40 treatment on those pots... Still have a JVC SC1224 and either a 2nd JVC or 1 Goldstar SC1224 in long term storage (behind the desk, behind the shelves, behind 2 rows of boxes 7 ft high, then in my closet), but can't get to them until I move maybe... (the Samsung sc1224 and 2 sm124's sat between my U shaped desk and the shelves, took about 3 hours to remove the stuff under the desk) too much clutter in my bedroom...
  9. Did anyone by chance see the 1400XL in the last month? it had an "Answering Machine" cartridge in that auction...
  10. Found it: https://www.atariarchives.org/cfn/05/11/0002.php About 2/3 down the page....
  11. Wish I did, I bought those chips from Bradly...
  12. Have you seen these SC-01 replacements? https://www.ebay.com/itm/276185219566 Which other parts?
  13. That sounds like something they would have used in the original BattleStar Galactica Here on earth we call it acetone...
