  1. I've attached the image to see if that is better as Photobucket sucks like that. I'm sort of thinking the top of the unit isn't on correctly, but want to make sure there isn't anything wrong. I've already reattatched it and it still seems off.
  2. It was a little tab, so I wasn't going to bother. Plus what looked to be the remnant of it seemed to be missing some plastic. I find it a little hard to believe this could be what is causing all my problems.
  3. Well I took it apart before I could check the seams. Nothing seems to be backing the buttons that goes in far. The only thing I noticed that was broken was a little piece of plastic by the messed up button. Here is a picture of what it looks like inside my console. Of course the screen and board are removed. Screwdriver is pointed towards the messed up buttons.
  4. Thanks for your help. I tested it out and it worked! Well it had some trouble booting up, but it still worked. Now I found two new problems: 1)While playing, I could not get the game to flip. I pressed the flip button and nothing happened! Is it only for certain games or am I doing something wrong? I tested my Lynx with Batman Returns and Rygar. 2)I noticed that the top A&B Buttons can be pushed in very far. They worked, but I'm assuming this is not supposed to happen. Any idea what is wrong? I couldn't get a good picture of the glue, but here is the sharpie mark: Thanks again!
  5. Hi all, I got a Lynx II the other day and had a few questions. I was initially going to ask about repairing it, but I think I may not have to anymore. Instead, I was just curious about a few features of my Lynx. When I picked it up, I noticed that it had some out of the ordinary things with it. For one, it was missing a serial number. Also, it had a few sharpie marks on it. One was slightly over where the serial number was and the other was where games were inserted. It also has a bit of what looks like glue on the corners of the screen. I was just wondering if anyone has a clue if this means anything. My gut tells me it means someone worked on it before. I was also wondering how to open a Lynx II. As I mentioned, I was originally going to ask for how to repair my console, but I don't think I need to anymore. I was having problems where it wasn't turning on, but I realized it may have been caused by stupidity. Basically I was pressing the wrong button to turn it on and had the games in backwards, growing up with a Game Gear and multiple Gameboys does that I guess. I'm still curious as to how to open it though just in case it still doesn't work when I test a game in it. The game I put in backwards was from a game store, so I currently don't own any games. Thanks, Dr. Dib
