  1. Insert Coins and let the one-two punch of arcade nostalgia hit you right in your wardrobe. ARKADO RETURNS is a follow up to my first Kickstarter campaign, ARKADO, that was sucessfully funded and delivered in 2014. Like it's former, ARKADO RETURNS is a celebration of 26 vintage arcade titles that range from the beloved to the obscure. Can you name them all? This time ARKADO RETURNS with two designs presented in both Horizontal Mode and Vertical Mode, like the arcade screen orientation of the past. Like my previous campaigns, the goal is to fund a limited edition run of this artwork on apparel and print. If successfully funded, this limited edition apparel will be made to order for the backers along side a small batch run to be sold at conventions and shows. Like ARKADO, EFEMERECO, and WINNERS DON'T DRINK DRUGS, once all these shirts have been sold, no more will be made. The tees will be silk screened with Pantone 375 C and Reflex Blue C ink onto super soft, Bella Canvas 100% Cotton Baby Blue Unisex Tees. These tees are available in size EXTRA SMALL through 4XL. $15.00 for 1 or $27.00 for 2, Free Shipping in U.S.A. Claim yours at OneRadTee.com
  2. Hey All, I've been involved with a podcast call "We Talk Games" for over five years. It started as a monthly video-game review show with special guest interviews with industry icons (i.e. Nolan Bushnell, Ralph Baer, Trip Hawkins, Jason Rohrer, Etc.) The shows were marathons in length, sometimes over three hours. In January 2014, we restructure the show to be a weekly focuses discussion on one arcade title running no more than a half hour. I will warning that the current iteration is NSFW, but only because it makes it easier to edit. We don't go out of our way to cuss it up for shock value. We just wrapped up on SHMUPtember, where we discussed only arcade games in the SHMUP genre for the entire month of September. I just want to invite everyone to give it a listen and see if it's their cup of tea. 3. Two very different games. I understand there is a similar theme, but it's not a fair comparison. One is a time-manager action game while the other is a boardwalk style carnival shooter. Bank Panic is a fantastic game that deserves more attention, but the Master System port is a broken mess. The arcade version is far superior. We talked about Bank Panic at length on the We Talk Games podcast.
  4. Less than 5 days left. 5.00 receive a personalized postcard of the artwork in the mail. 10.00 receive a limited edition poster of the artwork, signed and numbered. 18.00 receive a limited edition tee shirt featuring the artwork, printed specifically for you in your size. FREE SHIPPING IN USA Don't miss this opportunity to own a one-of-a-kind piece of artwork, celebrating retro-gaming. This Kickstarter still needs support! Share if you care, support if you can. http://kck.st/1ur8Cxu
  5. I'm running a Kickstarter and I'm trying to get the word out. I'm an amateur artist looking to do a limited run of t-shirts using an image I originally created for my Dad's MAME cabinet (which my brother and I built for him during the holidays.) I'm hoping you guys will dig the design and help spread the word on this project, maybe be interested enough to kick in the project. The artwork features 26 different characters from the heyday of the video arcade done in my style. The games featured are: Berzerk, Bomb Jack, Burger Time, Centipede, Cheeky Mouse, Dig Dug, Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong 3, Donkey Kong Jr., Galaga, Ghouls and Ghosts, Joust, Ladybug, Make Trax, Mappy, Mr. Do!, Ms. Pac Man, Pac Man, Pengo, Pooyan, Popeye, Q*Bert, Sinistar, Space Invaders, Tapper, and Tetris. ANY feedback would be greatly appreciated. Here's the link to my Kickstarter: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...rel-arkado-tee More of my artwork, a lot of which is video-game inspired, can be seen here: http://instagram.com/obeykube
  6. I'm still hoping someone might be interested in this charitable cause. If any more inspiration is needed, let me know.
  7. Sure thing, they can be viewed together (at the top of the image) here: http://wetalkgames.com/WTG092/WTG-Main-Image-T2b.jpg "Stinky the Game Master" is an 86 year-old, three-legged humanoid "game master." He spends most of his time trying to get himself over on the show and interrupting interviews with special guests. "T.T." is a belligerent female robot. Any task she's assigned is often bungled. Currently, she is carrying "Stinky's" love child. Her "pregnancy" was the result of the two making-out over the loud-speaker at a small gaming convention we attended. The validity of said "love-child" is still in question. This month's episode will mark the 9th month since that story began and will have the big reveal. This sounds absolutely insane now that I'm writing it, but it's all in good fun. Both characters can usual be heard with the first 5 mins of each "We Talk Games" episode. Those little bits have a ton of idea fodder in them and are completely bizarre. Let me know if that helps and thank you for your interest.
  8. Hello, I'm a co-host of a video-game podcast called "We Talk Games." http://wetalkgames.com Each holiday season we run a charity called "Co-Op for Kids," where we auction off prize packages on Ebay and 100% of the proceeds going to the "Children's Miracle Network." These prize packages are made up of unique and not-so-unique video-game related items. In the past we've auctioned off limited edition bottles of Billy Mitchell's hot sauce, autographed retro video-game posters and gift certificates to GOG.com and Jinx. This year I was hoping we could step it up by offering an extremely limited edition run (5 or 10) of a "We Talk Games" 2600 games. Much like "Mystery Science Theater 3000," our show has two fictional characters that I think would be the perfect subjects for a game. Their names are "TT Schmootkins" and "Stinky the Game Master," whose illustrations can be seen on the front page of our website. I'm looking for a 2600 programmer who would be interested in donating their time to this project. I'm very open to any game ideas, even if it's as simple as a cosmetic hack of a preexisting game. Just as long as it reflects the show in some capacity and is playable on an actual Atari 2600. Again, all the proceeds from these game cartridges will go directly to the "Children's Miracle Network." If anyone is interested or needs any more information, please let me know. Thanks!
