  1. We had to record today but we added your comments to the end of the show. Again, thank you for your submission. It's appreciated and some great takes on those games.
  2. Yep, we got it...lot's of great takes on a lot of the games we reviewed but I guess I wasn't clear when I said, "questions or comments". We were actually looking for questions and comments about the show and specifically for us BUT because you went through all of that work, we'll find a way to include them in the show. Thanks for listening and we appreciate your input.
  3. Looks like I found a small bug. I increased the font size a little bit so I could see more stuff better 😁 and I noticed that none of the memory windows updated. When I clicked on them, that line increased in side. By using the slider, that seems to set it to the new font size but then I noticed this when I clicked on the byte. That's not right. 😆 Setting it back to the default 7.5 resolves that issue but my difficulty seeing the text has now increased. 😊 WISH LIST: When selecting a byte in memory, it would be cool to see the same byte get highlighted on the right pane and vice versa.
  4. @phaeronWish #2. Be able to enable/disable breakpoints and watches with a checkbox. I'd like a keep some w/o having to delete them.
  5. @Mclaneinc If YOU are responsible for the cheat system that I personally want to thank you. I'm actually using it to determine how power ups happen in Desert Falcon. For some reason the manual doesn't mention this but since this is going to be the next game we're going to review, I just didn't feel right just saying, "There are power ups that do stuff. Good luck figuring out how that works.". I've been using the cheat system to set values as well as use the debugger to figure out what lines of code do what. IF I had a wish list, I wish I could have more than one debug window and be able to make notes (like breakpoints) as to what areas of code do. Maybe, at some point, @phaeron might be willing to consider this. I love this emulator and it gives me so many features that would be difficult to pull off on a real system.
  6. @phaeron Oh, LOL! I read that completely wrong. The format is [symbols] : [definition]. Wow, I can't believe I missed that. Thanks for your assistance with this. I think I'm much better off now.
  7. @phaeron Ahhh. OK. Now I'm seeing some results. So, just a couple more questions. You've got = unchanged and != changed. Isn't this the same thing? I see you have values sometimes go up/down. What determines the sometimes? For value type, you have 8 and 16 bit bit values. How does this work? Do you just check for 2 adjacent bytes? If so, how do you handle 3 adjacent bytes?
  8. @phaeronOK, so here is what I did. Select Debug | Enable Debugger Just before I pick up the item I'm interested in "cheating", I hit F8 to do a Run/Break Select Cheat | Cheater... Select "Start with a new Snapshot Select Update Selected OK to close the window I hit F8 again to run the game I pick up the item I hit F8 again, immediately Select Cheat | Cheater... I select "> : Values going up" I select Update. Results say "Too many results (1618)". I mean, I had this running for like a second or two. I don't know how I could collect that item faster to reduce the number of values changing. Am I doing it wrong?
  9. @phaeron Ok. I did this and there were some 2000ish value so still too many. I'm not at home right now but I'll try it again and try to do it in a shorter time frame. Thanks for the info.
  10. @phaeron Ok, so how do you take a snapshot? I only found one reference to "Snapshot" in the manual and it didn't seem to apply to this. I also don't see a key that takes a snapshot and I'm not seeing anything in the menu that says "snapshot". Sorry to be so dense but although what you're saying makes sense, a step by step would be helpful. Thanks in advance. UPDATE OK, I so see an option, under search mode, that states, "Start with a new snapshot". When I select Update I get the message, "Too many results (49152)" under search results. I can seem to do anything with that and selecting SAVE pretty much gives me a blank file.
  11. @phaeron I'm interested in using the Cheat feature of Altirra but when looking in the docs, I see no mention of it. Can information on how to use this feature be added?
  12. I'm working on the script as I type this but I'll check with David and see when he has some free time.
  13. For those who have listened to our latest show, you might have heard that our next episode (#21) will review the last game released for the XEGS by Atari, that game being Desert Falcon. David and I figured this would be a good time to put a pin in the podcast. Going forward, I might consider doing an overview of some of the prototypes but I think this pretty much the end for this long journey. We'd like to go out answering questions from listeners so if you've got any for us, you can post them in this thread or send them to us at Feedback@XEGS8bit.com.
  14. I tend to post these on our FB and Twitter...er....X....accounts but for what it's worth....
