PC gamepads but then you have all of those other buttons you can't use. I could see new games being adapter to read the analog input and simulate it though the paddles but it's one of those things that you'd have to invest in and I doubt most would do unless there were several titles that took advantage of it. Still, I like the concept.

In Topic: Values applied to SDMCTL. Not quite understanding

Yeah, I was just reading another section of Mapping The Atari and it wasn't as complex and then the bit column thing all of a sudden made sense....and was a bit redundent. I don't need to be told that if I add 2, that both bit 0 and bit 1 will be set. So, now that I understand, the value set in Fort A would equate to..

Standard Playfield

Enable Missile DMA & Enable Player DMA

Enable Instruction to Fetch DMA

Funny how the brain works, and doesn't, some times. :-)

Wow! My mom used this to run her business for a bit. She wanted me to learn how to use it but I was probably 16 at the time and had no interest in accounting. I didn't realize it was THAT special and that people said it didn't exist.

In Topic: SDrive-MAX ATX support

I'm pretty sure my SDrive is putting 5 volts back into the machine. Someone suggest that I was having an issue with my PIA on my 800 so I stepped down my power supply on my Arduino from 12v to 5V. I then plugged the SDrive into my 130XE and powered it on. The touchscreen looked strange but after touching it was fine. I went to switch off the power to my 130XE but the power was still slightly on. I'm a bit worried now that the 12v power supply went into my 800 and damaged the PIA chip.
