  1. I own the full MVS library from back when it was cheap. For big Neo Geo nuts lke me, the NeoSD Pro is well worth it I wouldn't hold my breath on the updated multicart. It's been shown to be possible, but no bootleg manufacturer has indicated they will manufacture them at this point
  2. Hey there, good to talk again! Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it! The 161-in-1 was recently hacked to include all games, but it's not worth making them until someone selling on aliexpress takes up the task. I would save for a NeoSD -- That thing is great.
  3. Yep, and someone will take things far enough to execute and produce a great fan-made product, and then there will always be a vocal minority still willing to complain that the input port is oriented backwards. Human nature I suppose.
  4. Guys, guys, not to worry. There's an easy solution. Just buy a $1,000 Retrotink 4K and spend two hours goobing around with the settings to get your HDR 4K OLED tuned in just right. It looks just like a CRT. Your non-gamer friends won't think it's weird at all when you explain how they too can have an easy "plug and play" solution to hook up their old Genesis they've got sitting in a box in the garage.
  5. Oh, this thread is late. RF nosalgia already happened in the Twitter retrogaming community some time ago. https://x.com/8bitesquire/status/1581595995728539649?s=20

  7. Thanks, everyone. Does the forum allow me to change my username? I like the team making Cyborg Force. It's not going to rival any official work from a larger team, but still impressive work nonetheless. I look forward to it. @Reaperman I can't imagine owning Crossed Swords and not at least playing through it. My videos are thorough, so you're going to see the whole game. I did full 1-player captures of both the cart and CD versions. Plus a 2-player run with my brother, the main footage. That said, my brother and I had limited time to capture footage together, and I'd be lying if I said we didn't get super annoyed with the game eating up all our time and making it a late night. Plus I f---ed up our one shot at the playthrough by accidentally replacing the best weapon with a crappy one for the final chapter. I was not happy with it. @Tanooki Neo Drift Out was one of the last games I found for my collection. It's well worth picking up.
  8. RGB is the native signal of most old consoles and arcade boards. YPbPr requires a conversion step in the chain, which with analog signals is inherently lossy. Therefore I voted RGB, and I'll stick with the native signal from the game.
  9. This is great, but I'm also disappointed it's not a huge lazy susan with 3 monitors on it. (A solution for all the CRT collectors.)
  10. It's best to assume your system has the clock cap. Only the very last systems don't have it. Fortunately it's fairly easy to remove it, so best to do it before there's damage.
  11. Oh, with my soldering skills, it can definitely hurt. Not everything from the early 90's is considered poor and requiring a recap. Nintendo systems and Neo Geo come to mind.
  12. You can set my 108p upscalers to output 720p, and I wouldn't use it with the drop in quality, though I'm sure one could get used to it.
