Atari 2600 plus a little bit of Rez, Little Big Planet & NHL on a friends' PS. Nothing more, nothing less... Well, to expand my horizon during the corona-daze I bought a NES & a SNES mini to see what I missed while doing hot chicks, music and drugs ;

Playing Next
Probably River Raid

That is just horribly bad news. You read his name on here and knew deep knowledge was spread. Thanks for all you did here & have a better one!

Although I probably would not want to marry her- my love for Carol Shaw runs deep. River Raid was one of the first games that got me "into the zone" whilst playing. So I took the chance and had myself a joystick made by a fine german guy here named David L. You can look him up @ http://www.norths.de/ Ergonomically it's far from a 10/10, but apart from that it plays very fine, and I mean- look at it, right?! Just wanted to share some 2600 love across the pond. Hope you and your loved ones are healthy. All the best for 2021, Nick

PICTURES of Activision's 1982 Family Vacation to Maui
draw replied to JayAre's topic in Atari General
When I recently read about this 'activity' I just found it great that stuff like this happened. To be able to see some pics now is downright amazing. Thanks an effin' lot for making these public. Really diggin' it! -
Sweet, Liam. Great job there! Would definitely want a set, no matter what topic you chose. ?

Got it in front of me. Finally German n4zi customs waited roughly a month 'til i was informed yesterday that I had to pay a tax fee to get hold of my package. That meant a one hour drive through town and a fee of 13,01€ ( ~16 US$) which is not as high as I expected it to be. For my german colleagues: Resistance is futile! No way of evading that tax, at least in my case... The design is unfortunately not my cup of tea at all, but I' m sure that will be all 'negativity' comin' from me! Glad I was able to get it before work and definitely looking forward to be playing it tonight... Thanks to each and everyone involved in creating this, you know you made a lot of people happy!

That's exactly what went on here... You have done some really nice stuff there, Couldn't stop watching page by page and am definitely going to make some friends enjoy it, too... Thank you! I'd really like to see another series of your reality pixelation stuff- so if you're ever in doubt of what to put up next...
-
Thank you, Byte Knight. I went (to amazon...) and bought it. And what a ginormously entertaining read it was. Highly recommended! (plus I learned a few new expressions: "to wolf sth. down", which just sounds great to me, dunno why or "little man in a canoe", which made me smile really silly Anyone else thinking it's gonna be quite a tuff one to be made into a movie?!?

Totally aware that this is NOT the pre-order-thread, I'd like to join the panic and state here nonetheless that I'm definitely going to buy one cartridge if only you let me... (sometimes beeing annoying can be better than being left out. i guess...)
-
Yeah, nothing too special about that, "Kassette" was what we called a cartridge in Germany back then, too. Strange though, thinkin' about it now, but... Don't know M. Webb at all, but that one A. Rebel pic for sure gets me much more motivated than the other 2 pics combined

Mad props for that banging tune on 8bc and thanks for the download.
-
I'm feeling you, bro- don't even own a cellphone and still count in Deutschmarks What I did was ask permission and simply took my girlfriends credit card to buy my HC... Bet you got someone around you you could ask, right?
-
Yeah, I think you definitely should get yourself one a dem. It, for example, made me cross out some of the games on my wish-list, and at least helped me save the money for the harmony cart itself. On the other hand you're probably gonna find a lot of new stuff to add to your list... I didn't buy any game after having bought my harmony cart, though. Seems I'm quite happy with my collection so far or just a bad collector So, get one and let it help you collecting the right games, I'd say.
-
Didn't play all their games yet (since I received my harmony cart just yesterday) but one of my alltime favez would be: Laser Gates I know that this game doesn't get too much love- but hey, can't fight childhood memories, can you... (I also dug R.o.t.sphinx back then quite a lot...)

Thanks a lot, batari & all other folks involved in creating this marvellous cartridge. Received my 2 pieces yesterday and got them 'armed' and ready to fire this morning after having had a nice & funny breakfast reading the comics from the "oregonian" you (incidentally? make it a habit!) wrapped them in Been waiting quite a while to finally play "Montezuma's revenge" on my 2600 You made me a happy man! All the best for 2011 everyone.
