GONE! - - FREE STUFF! 2600 switches, potentiometers, joystick parts, etc.

Thu Feb 21, 2013 3:38 PM

Everyone love FREE STUFF, right?  ;)

Here's the deal - -

- Several Ziploc bags of parts from my refurbishing work over the last few years

- 2600 joystick tops, bottoms, cords, slider switches, joystick PCBs, potentiometers from paddles, cart shells, etc.  A partial 7800 controller.

- One VERY yellow SNES that I salvaged some parts from

- Everything was replaced for a reason, so switches, wires, etc. are likely to have defects!

I hate to throw stuff away, though, so I have been saving it.  Maybe you want it?

HOW TO GET THE STUFF - -

All or nothing deal!

If you are interested, **YOU** will generate a shipping label, make it into a PDF and send it to me.  I'll package it up and drop it off at the Post Office, UPS, or whatever it is that you choose.

That's the ONLY way I'm running this - - the person who contacts me first and is willing to generate the pre-paid label themselves gets the goods!

14 pounds, which includes box/packaging and padding, coming from ZIP code 80401

Hope somebody can use it!  :D

SOLD! Red Sea Crossing ( decided not to keep it !)

Sun Feb 10, 2013 7:13 PM

SOLD to a nice gentleman "across the water" - - THANKS!!

Don't hate!  I know some of you are emotional about the re-selling of homebrews . . .

However, I just simply decided not to keep the copy that I bought.

All I want is what I have in it!  It cost me $115 to get it here, and that plus the cost of whatever it takes to ship it to you is all I ask, including fees, bribes at the border, personal messenger pigeon delivery costs, etc . . .

First in with money in hand, no drama or hold requests, etc., gets it!

This is one of the fully boxed, sealed copies that comes with manual and coloring sheet - - number "B7"

THANKS!

The ADDITIVE AUCTION PART 3 - Adaptoid for N64 to PC - Emulation Package

Sun Oct 28, 2012 10:21 AM

Play Nice.  Keep it Civil.

EDIT:
My dad is an amazing auctioneer and eBay fellow.  He moves entire warehouses for a living.  Car parts, instruments, antiques - - whatever needs going.
"Give them something for free!" he always says.
I think what he means at the core of that statement is value - - it's simple, if I don't see value in something, why should I buy it?

So, in that spirit, I am starting an ADDITIVE AUCTION with this for-sale thread.  We're adding value!

"Uhmm, what's this ADDITIVE AUCTION that you speak of?" . . .

It's simple - -
- - I add something to this Adaptoid package below every few days until someone sees the value and offers to buy it.  Maybe no one, maybe someone!

The price stays the same, I just keep adding . . . more value.

The question is, do you wait, and hope that MORE value gets added . . .
. . . OR, do you see the value, and move to get the package before someone else does!

Kind of a game - - someone else might be ready to go for it, and beat you to it . . . or no one may be watching, and you can keep waiting until there's as much value as you need!

:)

ADDITIVE AUCTION - Item 3
Thursday, November 8 (almost Friday!)

ADDED -
PERFORMANCE brand Nintendo 64 Memory Card in case

I like these because they don't ever need batteries!

Some sort of flash memory that is non-volatile and does not need to be changed regularly

Great cards!  Comes with the case, useful for stashing your other cards in it, too . . .

THIS ITEM NOW GOES WITH THE Adaptoid PACKAGE BELOW - - same price, just adding MORE!

ADDITIVE AUCTION - Item 2
Sunday, November 4 (Change your clocks back! :) )

ADDED -
Dual Playstation and N64 USB to PC adapter

Not as nice as the Adaptoid - - does not support Rumble, and has a less sensitive "translator," which means a rougher ride for the N64 controller to PC emulator

Still very decent adapter, however, works just fine, AND it's blue!  With LEDs! ;)

Posted Image

Hard to see, but there is a switch on the side between my fingers that goes back/forth between N64/Playstation (supports one or the other, not both at the same time)

ADDITIVE AUCTION - Item 1
Wednesday, October 31 (Hallowe'en!)

ADDED -
6-foot N64 controller extension cord

The N64 controller unit has a nice long cord, but this ENSURES that you can make it to the lounge chair, and REALLY kick back!

Great for making your PC a relaxing N64 gaming machine!

THIS ITEM NOW GOES WITH THE Adaptoid PACKAGE BELOW - - same price, just adding MORE!

$130 - N64 - Adaptoid package - USB to N64 controller adapter w/EXTRAS

Nice starter N64-on-PC emulation package that includes - -

- A genuine Adaptoid USB-to-N64 device; perfect for PC emulation, supports use of RUMBLE PAK (still the only device that does?)

- official Nintendo RUMBLE PAK

- blue N64 Controller; nice condition, good, tight, and responsive.  Clean, too! :)

- third party memory card that has added bonus of an
easily replacable battery! (Unlike the official Nintendo ones!)

- BONUS: DexDrive device, in box, also included in package, which allows you to manually add and backup saved games to N64 memory paks using your PC!
There are lots of saved games out there that you can download, as well as hacked saves that start you with EVERYthing, like Star Wars Pod Racer "fully unlocked," etc.
(Note: DexDrive uses a
serial port, and works best on Windows XP, although I have gotten it to work on Windows 7/Vista!)

- A mini-DVD is also included that has ALL the software from the floppies that came with the DexDrive, as well as some emulator software and other treats - - no need to search the Internet!

Amazingly good repro manual.  Professional reproduction by yours truly.  It is NOT the original manual.

Layed out with publishing software
Used real scans of an original manual I obtained from the RepalcementDocs websitesite.
Painstakingly OCD'ed on for weeks
Excellent grade paper
Professional color laser printed
Exact size of real manual
Same feel and heft of real manual

I made several; one went with the game, which is sold, one is left

Nintendo GAME & WATCH - Donkey Kong

Tue Oct 2, 2012 8:14 AM

$90 (U.S. shipped) - classic NINTENDO GAME AND WATCH - DONKEY KONG - FRENCH version

I acquired this FRENCH version of this classic NINTENDO GAME AND WATCH unit when I was in Switzerland as a kid.
It's DONKEY KONG as you know it, but some of the button labels are in French (Start button, Controls, etc.)!

Posted Image

Posted Image

Overall, it is in "Good" condition - - no stains, issues with battery acid, or anything like that.
I was a good collector of electronics, even as a kid!
There are a few minor scratches on the metal, but hinges and latches are in perfect condition, and the screen is UNBLEMISHED and has no scratches!

The LCD is in nice condition, with all of the characters visible.

I just popped some fresh batteries in, and it works as well as it ever did!
I will include the fresh batteries to the buyer, as well as the other battery that was in the three pack - - $13.00 of value there!
Wonder why small batteries are always SO expensive . . . ?

The excellent NintendoAge user and hand-held gaming unit collector "retrogamesuk" has provided me with some GREAT information on this particular hand-held DONKEY KONG piece, as well as a recommended price.

Here's what he said - -

"The Game & Watch you have would have been distributed by Jeux et Images du 21e siècle, which roughly translate as "Games and Pictures from the 21st century."

On the boxes they have Ji 21 on them, they were a French company that imported them from Japan then were distributed under their own brand, though still retaining the Nintendo logos, trademarks and copyright info."

Below, I'm showing the LCD in "test mode" that happens when you first insert the batteries, and all the LCD parts light up - -
The unit returns to normal play mode once you press a button, and would only show again the next time that you change the batteries.

(Sorry for the flash flare in this image, better pictures down below)
