  2. I've fallen on some hard financial times and I'm forced to sell off what remains of my video game collection. I may even do some trading if the deal is right. Here is just the Nintendo collection. All prices are based on current market value but for you members of atariage.com, I'm giving you the opportunity to purchase at a discount! I can give you pictures of individual games upon request. Very few have instructions. You will save the following amount based on the number of items you want to get. 1 game 5% 2 - 4 games10% 5 - 9 games 15% 10 - 19 games 25% 20 - 34 games 35% 34+ games 40% If you buy the entire lot save 50% and get it all 115 games and three systems for only $870! 9. AMEN TO YOU! Media Mail gets a bum rap and I've been defending it since when it is necessary it has helped me out a lot. I am an avid seller (at least 5,000 shipments in the past 10 years) and do use media mail on rare occasion to ship video games to which I have NEVER had a problem. Maybe I'm just lucky and don't see what the big hubbub is about. If the PO doesn't want anything with advertisement to ship Media then there would be basically nothing that could go that way. I told them that and they agreed.
  10. Just updated the ad. Additions of note: Halo 3 Legendary Edition w/ Box Street Fighter IV Arcade Stick Misc. Collectibles category added More accessories CED movies (a rare format from the early 80's where the movies were basically on a record!)
  11. I already knew before posting that my definition of Media Mail is not the same as the USPS. I was giving my opinion (that is what forums are for), and actually it does have relevance because what I just listed as media mail eligible items used to actually be the USPS definition of Media Mail. It's unfortunate that people have abused it by shipping jars of jelly or other obvious non-media items because it is making it much harder to ship using that service. It has saved me from canceling book orders or other heavy media items since they can make you eat a lot of the shipping costs when sites charge the buyer the same shipping costs regardless of the item. I still occasionally use Media Mail when shipping items that fit my definition and the postal employees know it because they believe the same thing I do.
  12. Media Mail should be eligible for anything printed (i.e. newspapers, magazines, pamplets, and books) that is not personal correspondence, film in any format, and video games (just the games, nothing else that goes with them). That is what it started out as and that is how I still treat it. In other words, things that have been created by humans for entertainment purposes are media, artwork not included but people have abused it to no end to ruin it for us all. I've heard post office workers say they have stopped people from shipping clothes media mail and countless other things.
  13. Don't get too worked up about it. Just use it as a learning experience. As a seller you have to know how to outsmart the sellers at their own game and this guy did that to you. I can't say that I more than once, twice, 50 times or more bought stuff off craigslist to resell quick. haha I collect more now, but still flip stuff to feed my collecting. I wouldn't be surprised if some of my sales have been flipped too. Also, after his expenses of paying for the game from you and shipping and then selling it and paying commission and eBay store fees (if he actually has one) he probably only got off with a twenty at best. My suggestion is to sell on half.com. It's fixed priced listings and you can even have your stuff listed concurrently on eBay! half.com is owned by eBay so when it sells on either site it is out of your inventory. I have been selling on half.com since the early 2000's with much success. Amazon is great too, but stuff before NES is very spotty on whether or not you can even post certain games.
  14. Just wanted to give you guys a heads up on a pretty rare promo item that I'm selling for a friend. If you win, be sure to send me a message and I'll give you a 10% discount! Picture is on the listing. Thanks for looking! eBay Auction -- Item Number: 190737478571
  15. How do you know that what is in the box is what the seller says it is? I'm a seller myself and can't even consider selling something like that without having bona fide proof that what I say is what I'm selling. I'd wouldn't consider bidding on it unless the seller opened the box or provided some other proof.
