  1. Hi guys, just wanted to let you all know that I finally got around to listing these up for sale. The bad news is that when I went to plug in a 9-volt battery to the Magic Box, the 9-volt connector pretty much snapped in half. Such is the nature of decades old plastic. I bought a new connector for the buyer to install if they choose. Here is the listing. I put $199 as a starting bid, just based on the fact that loose Vidco copy carts + copiers go for more than that when they come up for sale, and this has to be rarer than the Vidco. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=201006489212 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=201006492788 Thanks!!
  2. I have not tested the Magic Box yet, but I will in the next day or two. Just need to get a chance to go buy a 9v battery. I did test the pass-through device and it works. I'll definitely link to the auction when I list the Magic Box up for sale, after I get it tested. Thanks to everyone for your input on this!
  3. Yes, I pretty much figured this. I was just hoping maybe someone had seen it before or bought one in the past. It's basically identical to a vidco copy cart, right? I wonder if the fact that it is rarer would make it worth more, or less because its a different company than the "known" rare vidco one. Thanks!
  4. This makes perfect sense, considering I got a Starpath Supercharger in the lot with this item. So the person with the adapter probably ordered it, so that they could use the Supercharger on their Colecovision? That's awesome!! Any idea how much it might be worth? Again, sorry to be so pricing-oriented, I know its annoying when someone comes in and just wants to know numbers. I'm just grasping onto any hope that I didn't actually overpay for the lot I bought yesterday.
  5. Honestly the coating worries me. It means trouble if it ends up not working and needs some solder work. Is it some sort of heat dispersion stuff? I've never seen a coating like that on a board. I'm also really worried about that battery, but I honestly don't want to mess with this too much. It's a pretty cool find, but I don't collect Atari and I spent too much on the lot I purchased it in. I am really crossing my fingers that some people might hazard a guess as to the value of the item so I can put it up for sale. Thanks so much for your input so far everyone!!
  6. Ok, lots of pics incoming. Here are the connectors on the copy cartridge and adapter: Here is a pic of the connector on the copy cartridge (bottom) vs a standard Atari cartridge connector. The top one looks bigger but its just the angle, they are the exact same size. Here is the copy cartridge and the copier opened up (note that the tab isn't broken on the right, it just fits in there loosely until you close the unit): Here is the other device:
  7. Yes, the first item is for Atari 2600 games. It seems identical to a vidco copy cart in function, but nobody seems to have ever heard of the "Magic Box". Its made in Taiwan if that helps at all. The other item looks like an adapter, yes, but it fits Atari 2600 games in the top slot, and plugs into a 2600 Junior on the bottom. Are there certain 2600 games that don't fit into the Junior system? That's the only thing that would make immediate sense.
  8. Has anyone ever seen this before? I've never met anything I couldn't google, but I can't find any value information about the copying device, or any info at all about the second item.
  9. Hi guys, I apologize for not being around here much other than for the occasional price check, but I found a couple of items today in a large collection purchase and I just have no idea what's up with them. Looking for any info (including value if anyone has an idea) on this copy-cart like device I found. It's called a "Magic Box" and the cartridge is a "My Card". It runs on a 9v battery and the only button on it is a reset button. I also found this device which I really just don't know anything at all about. It's got a 2600 female slot on the top, and plugs into the 2600 system on the bottom. No text whatsoever on it except a "front" label. I tried opening it up but it seems to be more complicated to open than just removing the two screws on the front and I didn't want to break it. Thanks in advance for any assistance anyone can provide!!
  10. Well, I knew about that sub-forum, but I was hoping it was o.k. to post it here since INTV collectors are a pretty exclusive bunch and from past dealings I know that you can find quite a few here
  11. I don't post here very often, but I lurk a lot, and I'm sorry that my only posts are to pimp my own auctions! I thought I'd let you guys know that I have a couple interesting auctions going up on eBay right now. First is a set of 3 factory sealed Imagic games (White Water, Demon Attack, & Dragonfire), and in a little while I'll be listing up a nice Intellivision II system with a pretty bad box. eBay Auction -- Item Number: 200625559127 Thanks and let me know if this type of post shouldn't be in this section!
  12. Thanks Supergun. Like I said I am totally new to Atari 400/800 stuff as I never find it locally. Do the more common carts in this platform's library usually go for around that much?
  13. Hey, this isn't what you're looking for is it? Its just Zaxxon, not Super Zaxxon. If its not what you're looking for, do you have any idea what a good price would be to ask for it? I am clueless about Atari 400/800 stuff.
  14. Thanks dude I appreciate that. here is the link: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 200578444979 And here is the system w/voice module if anyone needs one: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 200578450465 I put up the lot of Sears Super Video arcade games as well, and I'm about to list another lot of commons up as well. Thanks for checking out my auctions and all the advice guys, I really appreciate it. I'll post here first in the future if I find any other interesting INTV items!
  15. Thanks Dude. I'll have to try again. I didn't want to break anything by forcing them out. The auction for the CIB controllers will go up tomorrow. I'll probably throw the system up as well.
