  1. Hi, I recently came across a 16k ram cartridge for the VIC-20 and wanted to try it out on my working VIC-20. As soon as I plugged the cartridge in and turned the computer on the screen went black. I took the cartridge out and turned the computer on (without) the cartridge and now it's just black screen. I opened the memory cart and saw that the first dip switch (left side) was set to #3 on rest off and the second dip switch (right side) was set to #4 on rest off. There is a little note inside the cartridge that said do not put both switches in the same position, which they are not. Any thoughts? Thanks for the support!
  2. Hello, i have a Tandy 1400 lt laptop and had a question. Inside each floppy drive there is a dip switch labeled 0-2 (adjacent to the i/o cable connection). What should the switch be positioned on for both drives to work properly? thanks!!
  3. Hello, i have the same Tandy 1400 lt laptop and had a question. Inside the floppy drives there is a dip switch labeled 0-2 (adjacent to the i/o cable connection). What should each switch be positioned on for both drives? thanks!!
  4. Nope, I am using the little RCA to Coaxial connector. I am using the same thing for my 1200xl and it works fine. Do the RF modulators inside the Atari computers go bad or need adjustments. I just ordered a monitor to RCA cable to test the 800xl using the monitor output instead of the RF output. Lets see what happens. Any other suggestions? Thanks for all the replies thus far!
  5. Nope, I have a 1200xl and i works fine. I am using an older tube type television. Thanks for the suggestion though.
  6. Hi All, I am having a problem with both my 600xl and 800xl. The A/V when using the R/F output is really bad. The strange thing is that both machines are doing the exact same thing. I can faintly see the blue ready screen but the image is very bad. Lot of distortion. Both machines worked great the last time I used them which was earlier this year. I am question that the R/F modular is give me issues since both machines are giving me the same issue. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!!! Long live the 8-bit!!!!
