  1. Read this and removed all the DLL files from the vj install folder (except sdl.dll as I figure that's a must on Windows7) and I got dll errors. Namely: libgcc_s_dw2-1.dll mingwm10.dll QtCore4.dll QtGui4.dll QtOpenGL4.dll and indeed I do need to have sdl.dll in the install folder It might be a mingw32 or Windows7 issue, but I do need to have those files in the VJ folder. At least on the svn and GiT builds I have done. Ricardo.
  2. Actually, over at ngemu forum someone posted about this same issue. I then grabbed the latest SVN (420) from Shamus' server and compiled it and got the same QT not found messages. So, I copied them over from the msys folder into the VJ folder and it worked perfectly. If any one needs them and can't be bothered to get them from their own msys environment (shame on you) then they are all here in this rar file http://rich.eq2.co.uk//vj/QT.rar Not sure about on Lunix systems, maybe it works fine, but on the Win32 platforms VJ has always needed sdl.dll putting in it's folder. Unless you can change the paths for VJ so it can find them on your machine but I've never gone that route as it's easy just to keep the dlls in the vj folder. Anyone knows any better then let me know so I can test it on this machine, always glad to be proved wrong if it's for the better Hope my little post helps someone though. Ricardo. PS: Just to clarify, this is for win7 and win Vista. I am not sure about WinXP as I don't have a system on which to try it.
  3. I have now listed this on eBay...missing my Jag already....
  4. I loved OOTW on the SNES, though it was called Another World here in the UK. My only concern is that they copy the graphics straight from the snes even though the Jag is capable of soo much more. Most converions seem to copy the same gfx and just port it so it works on other systems as it's quick and more cost effective than creating the details and content from the ground up which is of course understandable. This game looked amazing on the SNES, for that system. To copy those gfx straight over to a graphically superior system like the Jag, seems a bit of a waste of the Jag's capabilities really. It does look, though, that SebRMV is rewriting the gfx managing code from the ground up, so hopefully he can smooth out the gfx and help the game to look more like a Jag game than a ported SNES one. Having said that, I'm sure it will be amazing either way. The amount of work it must take to get a game like this running on the Jag must be mind boggling. I really do hope that this conversion happens as, like I said, I loved Another world As close to a CDROM based game as you could get without a CDROM. Although I am selling my Jag, as long as the price is right, I hope this goes through for those of you that intend to keep your Jags for ever
  5. True twoquickcapri, but then you get 10% taken off you by eBay and a further 3 - 5% by paypal. I was hoping to find someone who wanted the console on here as then I only get PayPal robbing me plus I know it's going to someone that knows the unit and will take at least a little bit of care of it. Still, never mind, I wil lhave to resort to eBay it seems. Thanks for the post Austin, I actually didn't notice the marketplace part of the forum...whoops
  6. Hello all, Sadly the time has come for me and my Jag to part company I am moving home and need to reduce the amount of "clutter" I have aquired. As the Jaguar sits in the attic in it's box gathering dust, it seems daft to hang on to it. So, is there anyone here (before I resort to eBay) who would like to purchase it? It has a UK Scart (I believe it's the RGB one) cable which I bought from Telegames about a year ago, 5 games which are: Tempest 2000, Cybermorph, Iron soldier, Wolfenstein3D and Aliens vs Predator. Also has 1 standard controller. All are in full working order, though I must admit there is a bit of paint spatter in the unit and the PSU due to over zealous 3am drunken ceiling painting a couple of years back. I would prefer someone in the UK (it's a PAL unit) to buy it as it makes the shipping much much fairer priced. Asking out of interest as I hate eBay's charges and Jags are not much saught after on there. If anyone's interested, give me a shout either in here or via PM. If no one wants it, if you can give me some ideas as to where to try and sell it I would very much appreciate it. Thanks, Richard.
  7. I don't think it can be as it's multi platform and using the SDL subsystem. As Shamus is trying to make this as cross platform as possible, trying to make it work with Dir. X would be a nightmare or at least I should imagine. I may be wrong and feel free to correct me
  8. Ahh cool, was just wondering. Was sure I ahd read it somewhere but just could not find it... I might have to take a bash at getting the Jag controller to work with the PC, if it's even possible, at some point. Just for VJ...lol Scratch that,it's already been done. Might have to order the controller card and get a controller converted http://www.raphnet.net/electronique/jaguar_usb/index_en.php
  9. Hey Shamus, the new conrtoller config is looking good Was just wondering if it was planned for it to be able to use a game controller instead of just keyboard keys ? I'm not sure how doable on a cross platform app like VJ that is though. Think this was asked before in the VJ forums on icculus.org, but I'm buggered if I can find the thread. Anyways, nice work so far buddy and keep it up I keep seeing those version numbers creeping up, so I guess you are keeping yourself busy ...hehe Regard, Ricardo.
  10. Ah nice one, Have it downloaded now, so here's the linky. http://rich.eq2.co.uk/~rich/vj/msys.rar at least it gives folks a mirror in case of problems. Any problems with the link, just let me know
  11. wow, nice work ggn. Sorry I didn't get back to you, had a bit of a crap day yesterday tbh....nothing to bad, it was just a crappy day. Right...well.....do you want me to still whack this on my ftp server? I might take a bit of flak from the sys admin, but I can sort that out I think Just let me know and once I manage to get IE to actually complete the downlaod I'll pop it on the ftp and post the link. Cheers, Ricardo
  12. go for it ggn....then maye I can see the difference between your libcdio and libiconv make files and mine. Might be able to see wth is wrong with it my end. Tried those fixes you pointed to, but the bugger still wouldn't compile. Have a feeling I've missed something at install time with Mingw or Msys. If you can get the install to me, I could stick it on my ftp server for those that want it. If it's ok with you anyway. Cheers, Ricardo.
  13. Nice one with the licdio there ggn. Been looking for that post,or one that explain the problem, for about a year but could never find a damn thing. Guess it helps if you know where to look...:/ Thanks for the heads up. I'll be experimenting with this a little bit now to see what happens.....whatch this space, or not, you might get bored
  14. How the heck did you get libcdio to compile???? I tried everything, more to the point....how did you get libiconv to compile so you could try to compile libcdio?????? If I could have got those to compile I would have been compiling, or not and just helping Shamus find problems , VJ for a while. Thanks for the great work ggn and of course Shamus Ricardo
