Thank you. I suspected as much, but then again I just acquired this CV and needed to get it up running quickly to check it out. I think I got lucky! This CV seems to be in real good shape.
Has anyone done this power switch mod for a more permanent fix?

I'd prefer a switch that is completely black, though.
But is a power switch mod really necessary if the original switch is rebuilt? How long is a rebuilt switch expected to last? Another 30 years?
Yurkie, I like the idea, as I am thinking about having you perform your magic on my CV soon. My concern is getting killed on shipping charges. And, I was hoping I'd just send the CV console and controllers without the PS to save weight.
Thanks - I just got the one connection back on. Man, I am one sloppy solderer... The controllers are a little sticky. I may be giving Yurkie a call soon.
I didn't find it that hard to disassemble and reassemble, but perhaps I just got lucky this time?
A little WD40 sprayed in the power switch resurrected my CV for now. I just have to test out all the other stuff I got in the box 'o stuff. Then, I'll decide to go further with any mods.
Thanks again for everyone's help!
Hi - I don't know if you already have this info, but if not, perhaps something on this site will help you?

I just picked up a box of ColecoVision stuff and have not had the chance to test out both my expansion modules 1 + 2.
Good luck and LMK how it goes!
In the process of refurbing and cleaning a controller, I attempted to re-attch the blue (v) wire to the PCB, but I broke one of the spades. Shall I just solder the spade connector to the PCB? Or, is there another method to re-attach?
How do you remove the front faceplate without mangling or damaging it? I need to open up the console for some TLC. I've attempted to open it without removing the faceplate, but I don't want to force it and risk breaking something. How do I re-attach the faceplate to look like it was never removed?
Please advise, thanks!
