I need help you guys. My 600 XL was working fine with a game and then I turned it off and put in another game and turned it on and it gave me a brown screen. Now every game gives me a brown screen and even just trying to run basic without a cartridge gives me a brown screen as well. Does anyone know what this might mean or what I could do? This really ruined my day.

I just received Space Harrier in the mail yesterday and I was wondering which controller everyone prefers to play it with? I like to use the European 7800 gamepad with the thumbstick attachment. By the way, awesome conversion you guys! AMAZINGLY smooth control! Three cheers for Sheddy and Kjmann!!!

Yeah, Pole Position would be another 2600 game that would get my vote for best-looking graphics. It's just a shame that your car looks so much nicer than your opponents hideous cars, lol. Great game, though.

I just started learning programming on the XL about a week ago. I suck pretty bad right now but just wait... I'll get good soon! Learning little by little every day. Lots of interesting books out there. Soon enough I will advance from rank "n00b poseur programmer" to "rookie programmer".

I recently bought a boxed Jaguar for $150 and I don't regret it. My favorite game for it so far is Trevor McFur in the Crescent Galaxy. I always collect games complete in the box and I think the Jaguar games look really nice next to eachother on my shelf. The controller I have (3 button) is really comfortable too, in my opinion.

Thanks for the informative answers! I think I'm going to get a 5200 after all. Mainly for the sake of playing the games that work well with the analog stick(s). I hope I come across a reasonably priced and well maintained 2-port model in the near future. Space Dungeon definitely looks like a game I would want to play!

I currently own a 600XL with 128K of RAM and S-Video mod. Is the 5200 really worth buying for any particular reason if I already own an Atari 8-bit? Even just for giggles? I have never actually used a 5200 joystick before but I definitly know about its reputation. I am really interested to see how people respond to this.

I have the Yoomp! cartridge, but I would LOVE to have a box and manual for it. I'd display it proudly on my Atari shelf.
