  1. Hi there : I may have a source in Montreal Quebec that sells 200 GB SAS server drives for $30 Canadian each, how many of you would be interested in obtaining some of these SSDs for running a BBS on a rack server. Rack servers through the mail is not feasible but the 2.5 inch SSDs that are SAS server drives are. If anyone is interested, I can give you the guys internet address and you can deal with him directly. I have already installed Wildcat 6.4 on a Windows 2003 Web server, it works perfectly with the security on 2003, but I want to go higher and a better server with SSDs , it is feasable , but right now I am running two 15000 RPM SAS magnetic drives, they make too much racket for anyone to enjoy running a BBS on, I and my roommate put up with the noise, the only thing that my server is getting is Telnet at spynet.ddns.net port 27. I will be firing it up and having it run while I head for Cambridge , Ontario this morning for church. My regular BBS is run from my Master Tower at spynet.ddns.net port 28. Anyways if anyone is interested in this fire me off an email OK? Russ.
  2. Good morning everyone: I have acquired a new server for all of my Atari files, from 2600 to Jaguar, there will be sections online for all of my Atari files. The blade server is an HP DL360 3rd Generation server with 4 Gigs ram and 2 Xeon processors. This morning with the help of my friend Doug Smith I will be transitioning from my master computer to the blade server , it is loud , 26 inches long , 2 inches deep and 19 inches wide. I actually will be acquiring 4 of these rack servers and getting the original steel box that the rack servers slide into, I put Windows 2003 on the hp servers, and plan to go online in the next day or so. My BBS is still online on my master computer , its running on spynet.ddns.net port 28, the blade servers will be on ports 24,25,26,27 and the master computer will be running on port 28, I have decided not to use port 23 as it is full of bots. I have around 32 Gigs of Atari software to offer , and for those of you that are into other retro computers I will have Adam, C64, Amiga, Pet, Tandy 1000, and many many more file sections. On another hand I lost a 6 TB drive when the power connector broke, I am waiting for my friend Don Leibold to fix it, hopefully he can fix the connector and it might go back online , it was 92 percent full but most of my software is on my FTP server. The FTP server is also on the spynet.ddns.net url, at ports 89 and 30. Hope to see you all there , and have a good day. Russ
  3. Hi Guys I have a new way of sharing files through my NAS server, I just discovered this, however the system only shares for 7 days , I will have to figure out a way around that, Anyways here is the Atari File system from Spy Net server. This file section has the upload section turned on , as far as I know it will not allow anyone but the admin of the server to delete files, if you are going to upload files that I do not have please follow the structure that I use. Here is the link, it includes Atari 8 Bit, Atari ST, Atari Portfolio and Other Atari stuff, thats why I put the link in Atari General, the FTP server is still up but I prefer this way of sharing. Russ. All Atari Files In One Link
  4. Trust me there are many many Atari ST files , I believe the entire Tosec library on my server plus many many more files.... it seems to change the IP address internally about every two days so I have to reset it daily until I can figure out why its doing that, maybe I have the two ethernet cables backwards on the server box, anyways the address to call is spynet.ddns.net ports 30 and 89 (two different servers), but since I lost a 6 TB drive (unless I can get it working enough to get the data off of it, it was 92 percent full , the sata power cable lost its plastic piece, it must have fallen while running)... its backed up on a 4 TB drive on the computer and the 4 TBs on my server.... On the other hand I am getting a rack mount server with SAS drives , maybe 2 or 4 SAS drives they wre going fairly cheap before everything went up in price. The BBS is also run on a PC , has been running for the last 5 years solid, in the light of that I am basically giving up on Forem XE Pro, I may develop it more but wont run it as one does what they do best. 7. Hey i got lots of other Atari stuff on my server i can even set you up with a login and password directly from my cell phone
  8. As far as i know it only runs on real atari computers but if you are using an emulator try turning on the printer port it requires a printer.
  9. I have the two disks separate on my server i will upload them unfortunately thats the only place that i know of it being archived. I have two different locations for archived disks try these oines: Cricit Program Disk.ST Cricit Data Disk.ST Just In case I have two other files from another location on my server : Cricit Data Disk.ST Cricit Program Disk.ST
  10. Note that you have to run cricit on a monochrome monitor its got a program disk and a data disk i have run it a while ago.
  11. I just uploaded the manual and the two disks that came with it
  12. Yes it did but I will re-upload it : Cricit Cash Register and Inventory Control.zip Have a look at my server at spynet.ddns.net port 30 , there is a lot of stuff there that I have collected in the last 10 or 20 years. Also there is a BBS up and running for over 5 years now , its PC run Spy Net BBS, its file section is gone as all of my files were on drive F which crashed irreplaceably..... thank God I put most if most all of the BBS files on my server..... Its a QNAP NAS server, I am going to get a rack mount server from Don server drives are really cheap and fairly big , one rack mount server will hold about 12 server hard drives.... Russ
  13. I now have a major Update to the Team selection process, the teams are all all-stars vs champs even though the selections may say different. All of the code is in place for reading and writing disks , we are one step closer to just typing in the names of the players and their stats, the code for writing everything is there, I need to figure out just how they are stored on disk. AS always I will make up a video that shows the reading of the player stats from sectors 106 and 112 to 128, 18 sectors for team data , now that we have an easy way to display exactly what is there it should be easier. The only thing is that I have used MyDOS, and Basic XE, because I use the HEX$ command and Atari Basic wont do that, also I will be using the FAST command and mid$ to manipulate things. This one has many errors fixed and works 100 percent , but it has yet to allow typing in of the stats directly. Russ New Hardball Master Disk Creation System Disk.atr
  14. I guess there would be some help from that but i am working on a way of just typing in the baseball team stats and writing the correct data to the disc. What the programmers used was a simple cypher shift of maybe 12 characters but they did not use the same encoding on upper and lower case characters. And numbers , punctuation etc was not the same. I will of course post the exact method later
