Yes, you can. Most of the "gay" characters you see on TV and in movies are actually hetero. Why? Because there are only a few gay people who enjoy theater and the arts, so they have to fill in with heteros.

Actually, I'm doing it because it's fun to be ridiculous and bombastic. William Shatner did it, and I think he's straight... Most likely... Okay, so Kirk is probably in love with Spock, but Shatner is definately straight.
