  1. The ESC works with all Intellivision models, including the original. Some things to check: Do you have a cartridge inserted into the ESC cart port when you turn it on? You'll get a blank screen without one. Note that the cart doesn't need to be an ESC-specific one. Any Intellivision cart will do. If you have a cart inserted and you're still not getting a picture, you may want to clean the port connector on the ESC and the cartridge ports on both the ESC and Intellivision. The Computer Adapter and Intellivison II use power supplies with uncommon voltage so you definitely need to use to the appropriate power adapter. Hopefully, these tips get you up and running.
  2. More like the C64 or Master System version, if possible?
  3. Hoping to see Mr. Stay-Puft's design tweaked a bit before release
  4. Does the game support entry of the passcodes via the ECS keyboard if an ECS unit is plugged into the Intellivision?
  5. Does anyone presently produce reproduction boxes for harder to find games? I know there were sets produced out of Poland a long time ago (and I own one of them). However, I'm looking for specific boxes like Mountain Madness and Tower of Doom. Thanks!
  6. Additionally, if you want to create your own version of the USB stick Atari sells (the one with Debian), follow these instructions:
  7. There are several YouTube videos covering this topic. One I've followed is this one:
  8. @RevEng Is there a possibility for a release of the game on the Atari VCS? I would think that the Modern Controller for the system would be more than capable of providing the necessary input needed for the game.
  9. It's more accurate to say that the 5200 is a cousin to the 8-bit line. The 5200 has many of the same features as the Atari 400 but has less memory and different memory addresses, which makes it incompatible with the 8-bit line. Many 8-bit games have been ported to the 5200 over the years (and vice-versa) and one can play those ports using an AtariMax multi-cart. However, one could not simply plug an 8-bit cart into a 5200 (even if such an adapter existed) and expect the game to work out of the box.
  10. At the time of Atari 50's release, there was discussion of a sequel to Yars Revenge that was to be authored (or at least produced) by Howard Scott Warshaw. Has there been any update as to whether the project is still planned and when it may see the light of day?
  11. If you're dabbling with Linux or plan to use any of the apps, you will need a keyboard and mouse. A lot of videos I've seen have recommended the Logitech K400 keyboard for use with the VCS, as it has a built-in trackpad. I personally chose the Microsoft All-In-One Wireless Media Keyboard as I like the layout better than the K400. The trackpad on it is very responsive but the keyboard is just okay, not exceptional.
  12. I did request the seller to archive any materials included with the system that aren't already archived.
  13. Very much so. If you have a 7800, there's a homebrew port of Astro Blaster that you can get here:
  14. And here I was hoping it was an adventure game featuring Donna Noble's grandad.
