  1. I got the ASIC version of the CosmoEx v2 that I got for my atari ste. well, that machine is out of commission due to a dead psu so in the meantime a mega ste appeared and well, it's the best ST line machine so I got it. But now reading on the cosmosex page I see this: "Please be also advised that your CosmosEx is not working well as an internal Harrdrive in a Mega STE – this is due to Ataris ACSI/SCSI bridge card, which unfortunately only supports one SCSI ID. For full operation you need at least two." So I can't use it as internal harddrive, as internal scsi harddrive (which mine doesn't support anyway since its asic only) or not at all?
  2. I have a machine, a keyboard but no cable in between. anyone have a spare?
  3. I just got an Atari Mega STe, but it lacks a keyboard. So.. I need one. Mega ST or Mega STe doesn't matter as long at it's in uk, us or norwegian layout. I'm not too found of QWERZ and in particular not AZERTY, so unless a spare keyboard with the right keycaps is available that's not interesting.

  5. I disassembled my atari 800xi a while ago to clean it inside. well, since i'm easily distracted it sat on the table for months.. each time i wanted to reassemble i couldn't figure out where the earth plug from the cart slot went. asked in other forums with no answer, so any of you know?
  6. Now that is an all American attitude. To quote businessinsider : In 2013, two of Alibaba’s websites handled $240 billion in sales. That's double the size of Amazon, triple the size of eBay, and one-third more than the two competitor companies combined.
  7. The PSU I got was tested prior to shipping, and is this model: Atari#: C061763-34 (CO61763-34) Type: T40/E, Made in U.K. Input: 240V~50Hz 24W Output: 5V-7.5VA Use with: 600XL,800XL,65XE,130XE,800XE,XE System console http://mcurrent.name/powersupplies/61763-34-alt-top.jpg http://mcurrent.name/powersupplies/61763-34-alt-bottom.jpg
  8. Well, it might seem like the previous owners were impatient, since when i got around to test it. all i get is a red screen. other posts on this board indicate a major fault (cpu, ram etc) which seem to come from using a bad psu. Well, now i got a atari XE/XL Psu and a dead xe gs. while i can open the xe gs and look for some obvious signs of death, I doubt i can figure out the problem given my limited knowledge of electronics, I think I need to venture out into the real 8 bit atari world and get a psu-less 800xl...
  9. I aquired a basic atari xegs w/gun and one game together with a lot of other stuff (commodore). While the pastel colors doesn't strike my fancy, I at least now got an 8 bit atari that isn't a 2600. Lacked a PSU, but that is arriving shortly. However, given i got a chance I want to explore what atari 8 bit is all about. So what do I need to do that with this? Or is it a bad starting point? I like modern solution, with sd/cf cards and all that if possible.
  10. Anyone knows of a good s video or at least composite mod kit for either ? I don't like rf that much
  11. I have a modfied asciistick and megadrive controller. works very well. i could probably have got them to a fraction of the price. but i saw no other offer and it is at least well made
  12. This was apparently a tough question.
  13. Hello. As a child of the very year the atari 2600 was released I never got around to play with one in my childhood, the first computer I had contact with was a Vic 20, then the c64 when it was released. But now I've collected a set of computers from the 80s and 90s. and well, I'd love to have a 2600. However, I don't fancy to run anything through RF so I'm wondering what kind of modifications one can do to a PAL until (I've only seen for NTSC) to allow that, or if I'd better get another of the 8 bit consoles from Atari to play the games through. Composite, Svideo, Component, RGB, VGA - anything but RF.
